I already thought this whole Alexa concept a little creepy. Certainly wouldn’t put one in your bedroom.
I asked Siri the same questions. She said “I can’t answer that” when asked if she is connected to the CIA.
Ask her why she cannot answer it.
I thought Alexa was just a verbal search engine. But it must have a bunch of programming to avoid certain topics. I was at a friend’s house that has one.
“Alexia - tell me a joke about a Rabbi.”
“I’m sorry, I don’t have any jokes about a Rabbi.”
There are some claims coming out that if you talk in front of some of these devices you will get targeted ads sent to you. Dont know if Alexa is one of them.
So for example, I am going to go to Hawaii...and from there.
I have seen a similar thing when looking at something online that I am thinking of buying ..and then it shows up in targets ads. See that quite a bit. So I can see it being taken a step further with voice.
Call it tin hat but since Mr.. Trump became pres., Blackhawk Helicopters have been all over the place around here especially on weekends.

Joke I saw on Twitter.
My wife asked why I carried a gun around the house. I told her: fear of CIA. She Laughed, I laughed, the Amazon Echo Laughed. I shot the Echo.
It probably has topics to avoid. But most importantly it has to figure out the parts of the sentence. Your example is a classic kind of problem, taking exactly what you said and putting into the response sentence even though that doesn’t actually make sense. You can tell the CIA question is a structure they didn’t expect because really what coder wouldn’t put in something snarky for that question if they thought of it.

If they've been skimming off all the profits and hiding the skim so they have no tax consequences...who wants profits?

There is profitable and there is there showing a profit in tax law.

This is a video from a science fiction video game that came out 17 years ago. Its predictions about the future were fun but wildly absurd back then. But now it is depressingly accurate.
