Graduates from Princetons 2012 class will not be able to attend a Star Wars-themed party in Stormtrooper gear due to fears that it will convey a racist message. A rules committee organizing a five-year class reunion party in early June around the fictional Star Wars universe was contacted about characters allegedly inspired by World War II-era events. Subsequently, Stormtroopers will not be allowed.

But I will compare social justice warriors to the Borg. You can have a variety of outward configurations and even species, but all must be assimilated to the hive mind.
Yeah, and as a matter of fact, the Empire itself was derived from Vietnam War-era America, and if anything, the “heroes” of the films, the Rebel Alliance, had actually been based on the Vietcong, as George Lucas himself said, multiple times, from during development of A New Hope all the way to Cannes Film Festival 2005’s premiere of Revenge of the Sith, and backed up by Walter Murch. The only thing “Nazi” about them was the uniforms (which were actually derived from German Uhlans, but whatever), and even there, it’s pretty obvious Lucas was meaning it as a synonym for “right-wing” thanks to Stalin’s abuse of vocabulary (like how leftists refer to Donald Trump as a “Fascist” despite having absolutely no similarities at all to that group).
