I wonder what caused anyone to notice?

I was walking down the street when I heard “The Twist” and I thought I saw someone dancing to the oldies out of the corner of my eye. I whirled around to see but there was nothing but a sort of disco shimmer in the air that slowly faded away.
Really. I realize now that I was enjoying not knowing this much more than I am knowing it.
I read something similar as well, though I didn’t think it was as long as 1,000 days ago.
We all want fame and fortune. But can we handle it? And how much of it? Whatever else, Simmons seemed to be managing his celebrity well until a few years ago.
Something similar happened to Mickey Rooney as well. Someone got into a position of power over him and pretty much ruined him through abuse and neglect. I think he managed to become a free man again shortly before he died.
For his sake, I hope Simmons is okay.
Hell with $15 million or so he can afford to go into seclusion.
That is if he so desired to do so.

I have been listening to the podcast. They mentioned that his card game "Deal a Meal" made over over $200 million. They also said that one of his videos made over $100 million and he told Letterman that he was able to keep a very high percentage of that. This seemed to increase the respect that Letterman had for him. Also they said that he has put out over 60 videos. They didn't add it up but it sounded possible that he could be well on the way to being a billionaire.
I met and worked on a few of his cars way back in the late 70s early 80s he was kinda odd but a real decent caring human being I hope no one is screwing him over BTW he had a stuffed pig riding shotgun in his MB 6.9 and the plate read YRUFAT
Richard Simmons once barely missed slamming his car into the driver’s side door of my truck in the Hollywood hills. I was headed downhill at the time, and just barely stopped in time.
He realized he was in the wrong, and gave me a weak little smile and a shrug to acknowledge it, then went on his way.
Didn’t I see him at the General Hospital’s Nurse’s Ball a year or so ago?
The guy is a fixture and basically Americana at this point.
Maybe he lost the other 146# and just floated away?
