For something that has been going on a long time. Even Shirley Temple was sexually abused, think how far back that was in Hollywood.
Hollywood children who are the kids of a-list stars are not raped. Contemporaneous rape kit results or it didn’t happen.
This is one of the reasons i think she is lying. There is no downside to her admission. It is the popular thing to do. It’s like being an attention hound and going to an AA meeting with an alcoholic friend and you just can’t resist the attention when you say your name and tell your story - even if it’s fabricated. It just makes you “in”.

IIRC, when Bridget Fonda first got into acting, Traitor Jane's exercise videos were all the rage. I remember Bridget in a interview saying how her aunt would call her pudgy and she needed to work out more.
