LAKELAND, Fla. (WFLA) A new sculpture in Polk County has people doing a double-take.
Its the annual sculpture exhibit in downtown Lakeland and one of those sculptures is getting mixed reviews.
The leg lamp sculpture, called Ill Shoot Your Eye Out, is based on the 1983 movie, A Christmas Story, and it certainly is raising a lot of eyebrows.
Well, you know, for a leg, its not bad, said Glenn Zweygardt, as he stood in front of the sculpture.

Looks sort of cute, to me.
I got one of these as a christmas present....”Electric sex in a window...”
“Fra Gee Lay” ... Must be Italian
Remarks at the site are great.Especially the ones about Trannys.
I feel sorry for the one guy in the video that has to live with the woman objecting. She must be a fun to be around
Always worth watching and rewatching 0)

“Fra Gee Lay ... Must be Italian”
Ha! beat me to it.
The people, overcome by art...
Well.......at least they didn’t shoot their eye out!!
I think the headline and the the story was a search to find someone offended and they couldn’t find anybody.
Lol...it’s hideous but now it’s a cultural icon and constant running joke. :D
"YOU USED UP ALL THE GLUE ON PURPOSE!"
Reading the story there’s hardly any controversy.
Leg lamps have been done long before, and now rea people actually walk around with less on and more showing than a leg lamp. These same people “offended” about this lamp, defend the women who walk around with more leg exposed and less clothes on.
The correct sentence is "It'll shoot your eye out," as in "it will", not "I'll" as in "I will."
My guess is that the sculpture has the correct verbiage, but anything for a "news" story, especially if someone can 1) feel offended or 2) emote hysterically over guns.
