New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick (BEHL'-ih-chik) has been added to a list of people who could be called to testify at the double murder trial of former player Aaron Hernandez.
Belichick's name appeared on a list of possible witnesses filed Tuesday by Hernandez's defense.
Patriots offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels had previously been named as a possible witness.

Bill on the witness stand will be like one of his press conferences.
Exactly. Terse. Unflappable. And no manipulation. It would be a mistake to call him.
Immaterial.................
In a courtroom he won’t have Roger Goodell to cover up for him, protect him, and run interference for him.
What are you, this weeks stand-up comedian?
He’s a witness, not a person of interest. They’ll probably just use him to testify on discipline issues, data from their background check, and validate the security firm, which will then make members of the security firm valid witnesses.
We’re on to Sing-Sing. We’re on to Sing-Sing.
I don't see how he could be called for anything except a character witness, as in "yeah, he worked hard and was a good player." The coach wouldn't have been a witness to the events at the bar which preceded the alleged shootings.
I guess you don’t know the NFL. Roger Goodell was made NFL commissioner about ten years ago. He was friends with Kraft and pretty much his personal lapdog commissioner. When there was an “investigation” into the Patriots violating rules, as soon as evidence of guilt was found Goodell declared the investigation over and DESTROYED all the evidence before anyone could see it. (He’s the Eric Holder of the NFL) When the deflation incident happened, the other 31 owners finally start to kick up about the MULTIPLE times Goodell had his thumb on the scale, so he had to give Brady a slap on the wrist. If he didn’t do something, the other owners were going to mutiny against Kraft’s Butler.
He was a fine player doing his job whether that was on the field, weight room, film room, or practice field doing his drills. Never an issue for us. What he did off the field we were unaware of as it never was an issue or a topic in regards to the team. - Bill Belicheck’s lengthy answer.
Must be big Pats fans. Their phonetic pronunciation of the name is wrong.
I’m sorry. How bad did the Patriots beat your favorite team?
They didn’t. Facts are facts. Goodell has always been corrupt. By thew way, why do you think he ended the investigation and destroyed the evidence? Can you say Fast and Furious?
He was a very good player when he played college ball at Florida. What a tremendous waste.
It is the Hip Hop culture.
Yup
