A woman came to the rescue of a Baton Rouge Police officer who was attacked by a 28-year-old man he was trying to handcuff following a traffic stop Sunday morning (Feb. 19), police said.
Vickie Williams-Tillman, 56, leapt on the man's back and helped prevent him from continuing to hit the officer with his own baton, the Baton Rouge Police Department said in a Facebook post thanking her for her efforts.
According to WBRZ, the officer initially found Thomas Bennet, 28, asleep in a car parked on Harry Drive in Baton Rouge. Syringes and a bag of cocaine were in the car, the station said.
The officer was trying to put Bennet in handcuffs when the man grabbed the officer's baton and "repeatedly hit the officer in the head," police said. Williams-Tillman saw the officer needed help: She called for more police, and then "risking her own safety she jumped out of her vehicle and onto the back of the 28-year-old assailant," police said.

28-year-old Thomas Bennett
If he had done it to a New Orleans cop instead of a Baton Rouge cop, he wouldn’t have been in nearly that good shape when they got him to the hospital.
White woman would have never done that. You don’t mess with a BT-1000 black woman terminator.
And don't forget the Jefferson parish Sheriffs Department.
I know some white women who would have done the same thing.
What an awesome hero you are Ms. Williams- Tillman! You rock!!!!
Looks like a wacked out druggie lowlife.
God bless you Ms Vickie Williams-Tillman!
You are a woman of uncommon courage!
You ROCK!
Looks like Wolverine.

Wonder if it was a female officer?
Good post. And it should be required reading for all those who snicker about how bad the “Amish” are.
Crazy eyes, like Willard the Rat...
That’s one very brave and decent woman...
Give that brave lady a medal and eternal thanks and appreciation for a job well done. God bless you Darlin’

So, how bad are the Amish?
You’ve never met my daughter -CCP and carrying a Big Hurt. Her brother was a federal police office and combat veteran of Iraq.
Homey don’t play around where we live.
