If a game like Diablo 3 can come out with new “content” or seasons every quarter and attract say 100,000 gamers after 6-7 years I think these games would likely be in the same realm.

Skyrim looked a bit interesting but Fallout was just not attractive to me.

I did the Morrowind and Oblivion thing and liked the games never got around to Skyrim

According to the Fallout 4 Steam Charts, they're averaging around 40,000 active players a day on PC alone. Whenever new content arrives it can blast up to 75,000

New content never arrives, they've officially abandoned it. No new DLC, only mods which are randomly provided by the community and don't count as "new content".
