The guard says he was acting in self-defense, and that Chen tried to run him over. vs.A 60-year-old man who was sitting in the car playing Pokemon
So, was he driving or just sitting there? If the car was parked there was no reason to shoot him. If, on the other hand, he was trying to drive and was out of control then maybe shooting was the only way to save the security guard's other others' lives.

Barney Fife had a gun. 60 year old asian man was in his car. Old man was probably asked for ID and proceeded to not comply and attempted to drive off. Barney Fife shoots old man driving off just like real cops do.
If you haven’t realized by now, cops don’t confess up to accidental and unjustified shootings. They just say they were ‘in fear’ for their lives.

60 year olds who play Pokemon should be shot.
