A related question: What happens if the Supreme Court were to, say, issue a 5-4 edict that Ruth Bader Ginsburg will be assuming total command of the federal government, and that the President and Congress should go home and not be seen again? I just read a Drudge linked story and am perplexed. I thought that people who are not citizens of the United States had to get permission to enter the country. If he can file the appeal within the period required and then his lawyers drag it out until there are 9 judges on the court, fine.

If he can not drag it out, then he would be better off to circumvent it with executive orders worded differently, A few dozen, or a hundred if necessary, executive orders would give him time to seat another judge.
