Survivor: Game Changers — Mamanuca Islands is the 34th season of Survivor (for those unfamiliar with the show, there are two seasons each year). It begins Wednesday, March 8, 2017 on CBS at 8/7c with a special two hour episode.
Twelve cast members will be playing for a second time, six for a third time, and two for a fourth time.
The players range in age from 25 to 54. There are 4 from California, two each from Florida, New York, and North Carolina, and one each from Alabama, Connecticut, Iowa, Kentucky, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Texas, and Utah.

Pretty good opening for this season.
Sandra taking out Tony was awesome but I think her outburst at TC will play on the minds of her fellow team members - but the tribal swap may give her breathing room.
I don’t like Sandra.
She does seem a bit grumpy this season.
Her “anybody but me” strategy kinda’ went by the wayside right off the bat when she locked horns with Tony.
Combined reward and immunity challenge winner: Nuku (1), (2)
Tribes will be shuffled next week into either 2 or 3 tribes.
Mana Tribe (orange buffs): Aubry, Caleb, Hali, Jeff, Malcolm, Michaela, Sandra, Troyzan
Nuku Tribe (blue buffs): Andrea, Brad, Cirie, Debbie, J. T., Ozzy, Sarah, Sierra, Tai, Zeke
Eliminated: Ciera, Tony
Immunity Idol status - Mana: Nobody has an idol.
Immunity Idol status - Nuku: Nobody has an idol.
Legacy Advantage: Sierra. She will be given immunity when either thirteen or six castaways remain. If she is voted out before then, she would privately will it to someone else following her elimination.

The bites I suffered itched for over a month after I got home........
I was really hoping for some game changing twists, and so far it really just looks like it is Survivor by the numbers. Here we are on the boat, there’s the stuff Ozzy’s supposed to swim out for, there are safety divers in the water to protect the chickens, here’s an immunity/reward challenge, here’s your flint for being losers...
Oh, and we’re doing a double episode as we couldn’t possibly make it suspenseful who’ll go out first. Oh and look out, next week is a ‘game changing’ tribal swap...
Now, if Jeff had said ‘Tony, you’ve been voted out of this tribe, but you’re not out of the game, here’s your new buff and you can pick anyone you’d like from your old tribe to take with you’, THAT would have been a game changer.
Come on, producers, you’ve got all experienced players here and honestly, how many hours of untying knots are we really supposed to sit through each season?

Plus, the season's second cast-off explains what the deal was with that spy bunker he was building.
As the winner of Survivor: Cayagan, Tony Vlachos seemed poised to go the distance on Survivor: Game Changers.
Even his early strategies—hunting for idols, building a spy bunker, and immediately trying to form alliances—felt like the types of moves a real game changer might make.
Alas, a second victory was not in the cards for the Jersey native, and, by the end of the two-part season premiere, Tony's torch was snuffed.
We caught up with Tony to talk about him clashing with Sandra on Game Changers, whether he'd come back for another season, and what the deal was with that secret spy bunker.

There is a lot we didn’t see. Sandra flipped all of them.
She is some of kind of mysterious shedevil.
They voted for Tony and a few for Aubry in case Tony had an idol.
The “Game Changers” theme as with some past themes, is of course utterly contrived. Apparently the original plan called for three teams consisting of (1) winners, (2) those who made the jury, and (3) those who were booted prior to making the jury. The plan fell through when the producers couldn’t get enough winners to return.
IOW, they pulled the theme out of their asses.

Not much excitement last night.
Sandra still seems grumpy and odd one out one her new tribe. Wonder if the “queen” bit is wearing thin on the rest of the tribe.
Little surprised they booted Caleb and kept Hali.
It seems to me that Tai cut the throat of someone in his season after claiming to be buddy buddy etc. Can’t remember the details.
Not surprised he booted Caleb. Brad knew what to say to get Tai to turn. He is more cut throat than Survivor edit. They like to portray him as the altruistic old soul blah blah blah.
I think Brad will go far this time.
