It could be a robotic guardian angel for anyone on a first date who fears they may be boring.
Scientists have created a gadget that is worn like a wristwatch and uses artificial intelligence to assess a conversations tone. It can differentiate between happy, sad and neutral, but some versions could also tell whether your delivery is boring or awkward.
It could be installed in smartphones or watches that would vibrate if the conversation went downhill during a date or interview, researchers said.

I’ve learned (pretty much) not to motion to my wife to stop talking when we are with a group.
I’m guessing most of these watches will end up thrown into the fireplace if my results are any indication.
