Microsoft has been keen on making doing a Creators Update to improve the Xbox's gaming abilities. The latest information reveals that the company plans to bring the same quality of gaming to Xbox and PC gamers. Xbox insiders who had the first dibs on the latest update already saw the changes brought about by the new update.
Xbox UI Changes
Microsoft received a lot of complaints on how complicated it is to navigate the Xbox home screen and the company already addressed this issue in their Creators Update. The main goal of this update is to bring Windows features to Xbox. The new feature will allow players to see the apps that they recently played on the home screen. It will also allow easy access to the media controls and the game store.
Live streaming and multitasking improvements are bound to find its way to the Xbox. This will allow Microsoft's gaming console to compete with Twitch and similar devices. On top of that, Cortana will also make its way to the Xbox. Cortana can set reminders and alarms so that players will not miss any gaming session and this will not be the only role of Microsoft's personal assistant.

At the moment, Xbox already made the update available to a small pool of users who are part of the insider program. Meanwhile, Microsoft also made changes on how players can be an insider. The latest news from Microsoft reveals that there will be four levels known as rings in the program. The highest level is known as Alpha and this is followed by Beta, Ring 3, and Ring 4.

Actually, more like "Xbox Creators Update"...
Hmmmm, more crap I don’t care about tacked onto an OS I’d never use. That Microsoft marketing juggernaut is just matching right along!
They're desperate to regain the commanding position they had for decades, up to when Ballmer's pi$$-poor vision caught up to them and he was ousted (three years ago this coming week, BTW).
Nadella is doing better in many ways, but they are thrashing as they try to figure out what the hell happened, and correct it. My take is that at this point they're only riding on their remaining percentage of the desktop/laptop user base -- once a monopoly, now a shrinking market. They have a very nice product in the Surface series. Windows 10 was pretty attractive when it was free. But they had better figure out how to make it more attractive at a profitable sales price. My guess is that moves like this update are part of that strategy.
