What is it? What's up with the all the lachrymose lamentation?
It does not compute. In my experience, women, in general, are remarkably tough, more tolerant of pain (maybe childbirth instills it). They physically heal quicker and they outlive us men. GENERALLY speaking. Okay? I'm treading on quicksand here, so please cut me a bit of slack.
If you disagree, please feel free to do so without invective.
So what's my problem? It's the crying!!
I have observed US presidential election results on TV since 1958 and I do not remember people, male or female, crying so openly over election outcomes. Well, except for one TV shot of Jesse Jackson crying, tears streaming rivulets, when President Obama won his first term.
At first, I thought they were joyous tears, because I, too, was greatly moved by President Obama's historical importance and was made proud to be witnessing this American landmark event.
Then I remembered hearing/seeing the good Reverend whispering on a hot mike to a brother seated next to him at a network interview. Reverend Jackson whispered that he wanted to castrate then Presidential Candidate Obama for "talking down" to blacks. The hearing impaired would've understood exactly from the hand signal of an invisible slicing knife, that illustrated his 'soto voce.'(A little stage lingo for "subdued, or to the side, voice.") Google it. It's still on youtube. You'll see I am not exaggerating.
On the other hand, maybe the Rev's tears were remorseful ones. This would explain why the good Rev was thenceforth no longer an ubiquitous presence in Democratic Presidential appearances and places in the ensuing 8 years.
So, are Hilliary female supporters less tough than gracious ladies who are not insulted when a man offers to hold open a door or carry a package for them? I have offered numerous times to hold the door for men and women and have never had a man scold me for it. However, a precious few faintly female folk have shot me the stink eye for the offer.
Tell me if you think I am off-base here. No problem. But maybe, just maybe, those who were crying after the election, the ones who marched after inauguration, demanding the right to destroy their unborn with our tax dollars, are not so tough after all. Statistically as a percentage, could it be those marching, acrimonious females are not as attracted to the seasoning which 1. men, 2. marriage and 3. motherhood imbue the gracious ladies.
Muskie.
Patsy Schroeder cried when announced she was no longer running for president before there was even a caucus.
These liberal women demanded they be treated like men, and then did nothing but cry and whine like emotional little girls because they are being treated equally.
And it was all an act, a stage performance for the cameras.
There were surely classes and printed instructions. For the left all is Theater.
They all thought they were going to be vicarious Presidents.
They lost.
They cry.
They have been rejected and they are taking it personally, like a love affair.
I said I have watched election returns “since 1958”, which, for all y’all out there needing remedial reading comprehension, would not include any part of 1958. “Since” means subsequent to or after. I did not say there was an prez election that year. There could not have been one in ‘58. All such elections are in odd numbered years. 1958 was the year Dad bought our family a TV.
Snowflake Effect.
Yeah women are the stronger ones. /s
They want equal treatment only when it works for them. If it doesn’t they want special treatment. If you don’t give them special treatment when they want it you are a mysoginist.
Here’s my theory - women hate nothing more than being lied to by someone they trust. In this case, they placed their trust in the fake news from manipulated polls by the MSM to stroke their fevered hope for a woman in the WH. Never mind that the candidate was also busy lying to them on various fronts. They just needed to hear that Trump was going down on election day because there was no path for him to get through the Electoral College. Having heard those repeated, yet false, messages, reality intruding on election day was a cold slap in the face. Their media lover had betrayed them with false assurances. The march was their way to lash out and blame anyone/anything other than their own misplaced trust in the media.
The two most important women in my life saw right through the facade that was Hillary. Though my daughter was taken aback by the facetious locker room talk of ‘grabbing them by the pussy’, she is Army and as such has heard that type of braggadocio before, recognizing it for what it was. My lovely wife never wavered in her disdain and contempt for the woman candidate, expressing continued wonderment how women could rally around such a flawed figure. Both continue to be stunned and appalled how other members of their fairer sex can be so misled, acting so childishly.
Hopefully she will now have 8 loooong years to hold her breath and stomp her feet....and cry.
“All such elections are in odd numbered years.”
Really?
All such elections are in odd numbered years. - RadtechtravelAll presidential elections are in years the numbers of which are integer multiples of four. Thus, for example,1956 = 4*489 andBut then, all of us know that.1960 = 4*490
“they outlive us men.”
Do you know why husbands die before their wives?
They want to.
Looks like a paraphrase of the terrible Genghis Khan prattling about his view on the greatest thing in life.
Lincoln’s twitter feed! That’s funnnee.
