I Am Finally Able To Use The Prefix, 'President', Again!

After eight long years, I am finally able to use the prefix, 'President', in front of the name of the current White House occupant's name.

I can't tell you how good that feels to me.

After eight years of referring to the former junior US Senator, allegedly from Illinois, it’s nice to have President Trump in our White House.

For the first time in 8 years, I can smile when I see the White House on TV, knowing who is living in it now.

And I can get a new remote for my TV.

I wore out the "mute" button.

I’m so happy about this election I am going to travel to DC this summer and do the tourist thing.
Something I had been wanting to do for years but couldn’t with bring myself to do with Obama in residence.

I welcome with most heartfelt thanks for his personal sacrifice, President Donald Trump.

It almost brings tears to my eyes to think of everything this man has sacrificed and endured to take on one of the greatest burdens that could be borne by any person of our era.

Such is the innate humility and goodness of the man, that he only alluded to that personal sacrifice a very few times during his run for the White House.

In ancient historical terms, he has given up a whip, for the yoke.

He didn't need to do that. He could have lived out his retirement years in the most extravagant lap of luxury any of us could imagine. Instead, he traded all of that for the "animating contest" the Framers spoke of.

Why?

Therein lies the answer. It's the same answer the Framers themselves gave.

I flew my flag for the first time in 8 years on Friday.
That felt good.

“Same here. NOT once did I call obamatard “president”.

I don’t believe I did either. As I think back to the beginning of the last eight years of pain & misery, I basically referred to him as Hussein (because he seemed so very proud of the name), Odrama, and The Imposter in the white house. In the privacy of my home, and only to my other right-wing friends, I called him many things I cannot say here.

Look up the word prefix.
Whatever are you implying, FRiend?

Salutations, titles and honorifics are distinct from prefixes.

Salutations and titles

Yeah man, you sure did give up a whole lot there.

Hmmm.... I'll bet you know a great deal about the sacrifices my family made during the Obama years.

Yep. That's the only way you'd make such a snarky comment.

Yeah, you know all about our inability to sleep well at night, not knowing how on earth we were going to make ends meet at the end of each and every month.

Yeah, you know all about the incredible humility we experienced when showing up to the local food bank to accept the kindness of strangers, while trying to feed our kids.

Yep. You know all about the extraordinary lengths I had to go to, competing against illegal aliens, while trying to sell my services to homeowners in the marketplace.

Question: Have you ever experienced a 50% pay cut? A pay cut that lasted over ten years? Well, I have, and so has my family.

I actually poked around whitehouse.gov for a few minutes today .. it's been enemy territory for so long that it felt quite odd to do so.

That's exactly what I'm talking about.

Ain't it cool to feel like you're in your own country again?

For eight years the WH was occupied by a Tnediserp.

President Trump! I love those words.

...the former junior US Senator, allegedly from Illinois...

Doesn't that just make you sick? It does, me.

How could our nation have gone so insane, as to elect such a pathetically unqualified person to its highest office?

Arrrrrggggghhhh!

W was president ten years ago, not Obama.
Also I was referring to your weird cognitive dissonance ‘don’t think the words President Obama together’ thing, not any difficult times you may have had as a result of the same recession all the rest of us have also been through.

I've been flying mine every day since Obama was elected, but it was always a sign of defiance - not pride.

Finally, it feels normal to display our nation's flag as it's supposed to be displayed, and with the requisite national pride.

Obummer was a junior senator. When you go back beyond that, he was a junior community organizer. He couldn't even perform well in the community. Our nation elected a turd as president in 2008. Insanity was doing it again in 2012, after numerous failures to accomplish anything other than destroying the well-being of our nation. So yes, it made me sick also. I'm much better now that we have President Trump to heal us. Unfortunately, sometimes you need to wipe multiple times to rid yourself of a turd that won't leave cleanly. Obummer has been flushed from the White House, but has left his stains everywhere.
