I know a woman whose husband took her last name. His name was Fink. He always hated it and had the chance to change it and did.

Don’t see anything wrong with it.

They should name their first-born Alferd.

“There was only six Democrats in all of Hinsdale County, and you, you man-eating son of a b*tch, you ate five of them. I sentence you to be hanged by the neck until you are dead, dead, and dead, as a warning against reducing the Democrat population.”

A hyphenated last name says a lot about his upbringing. He was raised to take his wife’s name and to let her run the show. He was also raised to be nutless and hen-pecked. Probably pees sitting down.

The hyphen says it all.

I was raised to respect my wife, to be proud of my hyphenated name - the last names of two great families - but to acknowledge that a man is free, if the law says he’s free, to change his name. I was also raised to be ever so slightly suspicious of the “manliness” of those who rage against the manliness of other men... Prematurely, as is usually the case.

(Ahem... But I myself don’t use the “middle” of my hyphenated name, have at times felt hen-pecked, call my mother regularly, and to be fair, at sea, I have often peed sitting down. So I guess you’re on the mark! LOL)

How could someone have so little respect for their name, and it’s continuation?

I wouldn’t marry a Packer, she’d be bound to be frigid.

“I hope they don’t name their son Fudge.”

Speaking of that. There is a Fudge Factory in Uranus Missouri. They have some pretty funny shirts and mugs to go with what is supposed to be some awesome fudge.
