Trump: Only "Stupid People Or Fools" Want War With Russia
Zero Hedge ^ | 1/7/16 | Tyler Durden

Having been fully briefed on the "intelligence" proving Russians 'hacked' the election - because how else could Hillary Clinton have lost? - president-elect Trump is starting to shift the narrative this morning to expose the establishment's blinkered warmongery for missing the bigger picture that could be possible...

(Trump's tweets, cut n'paste):

Having a good relationship with Russia is a good thing, not a bad thing. Only "stupid" people, or fools, would think that it is bad! We..... 10:02 AM - 7 Jan 2017

both countries will, perhaps, work together to solve some of the many great and pressing problems and issues of the WORLD! 10:21 AM - 7 Jan 2017

Of course, we can hear the spin now - "well this is exactly what a 'puppet of Putin' would say" - as a US president who seeks cooperation and not war must be a commie plant... or worse.

This follows the Intelligence Community's release of a declassified report that concluded Russian President Vladimir Putin ordered an influence campaign to help Trump win the White House. As The Hill notes,

The more I think about it.....head is shaking. The real campaign of misinformation was run to defeat DJT. It was manipulated by the media with the global elite who control them. Any hacking or leaking provided information that has not been challenged for veracity.

I hope DJT figures out who in the CIA and FBI (etc) leaked information or maneuvered to the favor of hillary and fire them.

Until DJT drains that swamp (if it's possible) he should depend on information independent from their civilization-ending shenanigans. JMHO

Kremlin dupes never change. It was the same during the communist funded western “peace” movement of the 1970s-80s. Always decrying the west as “war mongering” while the “peaceful” Prison of Nations only wanted world peace. I see our local Putinists using exactly the same terms now. Nothing new under the sun I guess LOL. How pathetic is that?

Are you seriously dumb or unaware that countries change alliances constantly when it suits them.

The Russia-China alliance is perhaps stronger than it's ever been. In fact, they've been conducting annual war games since 2005, in obvious preparation for war with us and our NATO and other allies.

As for the Russia-Iran alliance, how could you possibly not know or understand that they are currently very close allies.

Any chance they leaked the information to the media? (wild speculation)

After decades of calling Republicans chickenhawk, it appears that the Dems have assumed the title.

Meanwhile it was the Soros-supported Obama-Hillary admin who helped strengthen Russia, with their horrible deals on missile defense and nukes, including the Obama-Putin Iran nuke deal. This while they (the O-H admin) practically decimated OUR OWN military.

Quite true. Even if it “were” desirable, no one from Ike to Reagan wanted a US ground war vs. USSR in Europe. The only thing that prevented it was our nuke force, because even with all of NATO, the Warsaw Pact outnumbered us about 3:2 in planes, tanks, men, artillery.

And many people called Churchill a warmonger for alerting the public to Hitler’s intentions and his aggressive nature.

You’re right. Some people gain wealth and power from war. One of them is Vladimir Putin. He’s started two wars, Georgia and Ukraine. He remains the cause of an ongoing undeclared war in Ukraine’s eastern region. He’s recklessly bombed civilian areas in Syria without regard for the laws of war. He did the same thing in Chechnya massacring innocents along with the guilty. He is an arrant warmonger, and he’s on a glide path to destroy the most effective peace-keeping organization in the history of the world, NATO. His full spectrum MISO operation has successfuly duped many people in to thinking he’s a paladin of Jesus Christ, a swell fellow, and a man whose flabby boobs are cool.

I assume Trump believes his position on this issue is winning him more support with the American people than he is losing.

Obama had removed every tank from Germany by the Spring of 2013. Additional cuts were in the offing and promises of a pivot to Asia, reset was the public and private goals of Hillary and Obama. Putin took advantage of that power vacuum. He took Crimea with his little green men, and he began a campaign of intimidation against neutral and NATO nations in Europe. Now, you can blame Lindsey and McCain, or you can blame Putin for making peace and security an issue.

Then what about another reason for the Left to want a war with Russia - the destruction of the United States? Has that not been their primary goal of late?

I also wonder why McCain is always fixated on starting or getting involved in another war. Don’t his Arizona constituents have any economic problems at home that he should be prioritizing? Are the people of Arizona really more concerned about what’s going on in Ukraine or Syria or Russia than their own problems?

The cynic in me wonders whether McCain, who married into a beer dynasty, thinks war is good for liquor sales because it causes people problems and worries that they try to drink away

The Soviet Union had a long term expansionary project going on while the US played defense through out the cold war. Today positions have been reversed where the US has been expansionary for the past 25 years and Russia has been on the defensive. If we keep this up we're going to suffer the same type of imperial overreach that most empires in history suffer. Worse we're running this expansion while the doors are wide open for the Muslim barbarians to invade the west. I object to your war mongering against Russia because we can't actually win a war against them and there's no benefit to fighting one while we're up to necks in a Muslims invasion and liberal traitors who support them. Fighting yesterday's war while ignoring the invasion in our streets is madness.

Putin's fought external 2 wars in the last 20 years both to prevent further NATO expansion to their doorstep(Georgia/Ukraine). Both where very limited in scope and in goals. The Neo-Con/Neo-Liberal alliance McCain/GWB/Hillary have attacked or overthrown 6 nations in the last 22 years, starting with Kosovo and ending with their failed attempt to destroy Syria with the express intent of spreading progressivism or extreme Islam to these nations. Kosovo/Libya/Iraq/Afghanistan/Egypt/Ukraine/Syria. Of these wars the only one in our national interests was Afghanistan and that war has devolved into a disaster because instead of killing our enemies, we're busy trying to get them to have gay parades while locking up our own troops for objecting to Afghani boy rapers.
