Steve Sarkisian will assume the duties immediately.
In a deviation from the original plan, Lane Kiffin will not call plays for Alabama in the National Championship. Instead, hell head to FAU early and assume his head coaching duties.
The timing of this is fairly interesting. Kiffin was originally slated to stick around. Former Bama assistants Jim Mcelwain and Kirby Smart stuck around for the Tide balancing their new head coaching duties and coordinator responsibilities in Tuscaloosa.
Now the responsibility will fall to former Washington and USC coach Steve Sarkisian. Sark has been an offensive analyst with the Crimson Tide. He didnt exactly impress folks with his playcalling at previous head coaching stops.

The joke is that if you’ve descended to astrological signs to defend him, then you realize the accusations are true. So, you’ve clearly accepted that indeed Saban is an abusive liar, so we’re done.
I don’t know Saban personally. I have watched him take excellent care of a boy who graduated from high school with my son. Saban’s bullying is nothing like what my son has endured as a US Marine. My son and his friend who plays for Saban (a zero star high school player to a young man whose name was called on national tv two days ago) are both fine young men.
LOL
You don’t need to know Saban personally, his rants are easy to find. He’s a screamer. He’s smart enough to realize that in this modern world you can’t scream at the players anymore, so he screams at the coaches. He’s a walking temper tantrum on the sideline, any missed play, no matter how much they’re winning by, can set him off. And apparently he’s much worse in practice. He’s a jerk and a bully, the footage is all over youtube.
Once was enough. How many times have you said it now, three?
Quit spamming the thread, we know you don't like Saban.
And Dabo might be sneaking up on him both in this game and maybe even for his job.
You're kidding?
And where will Dabo be in a few years when Saban retires??? my bet is back at Bama. I have allot respect for Dabo he is a great coach and disciplinarian, great things in his future! RTR
About the game or the job? Not really kidding about either. Heard about the job from Alabama fans that watch games in luxury boxes. And I think that fat boy defense COULD have a little trouble chasing Deshaun Watson and his receivers.
ROFLOL
I’m replying to people who posted to me. That’s not spam, that’s being polite. You can always not read it.
Nope, they were Santa Clara College until 1912. Nice try though.
This exactly. Anyone who thought that Alabama was going to run the ball up and down the field against this Washington defense just wasn’t paying attention.
Yep. Funny to see here how provincial college football can be when some fans analyze the game. The Alabama offense scored 17 points against Washington. And Washington gets no credit for that? The reality is that Browning laid an egg for the second game in a row and Alabama is obviously way too good to beat without a QB playing at high level. That Pick 6 he threw was just brutal and a back breaker.
Ah, fudge.
It takes a fair amount of effort to get fired from the job he was already leaving.
Your tears of jealousy are delicious. Like Coach Paul Bryant, Saban ain’t nothing but a winner. Roll MF’in Tide!

No jealous. Just disappointed to have yet another example of all sins being forgiven of winners.
Those roids do great things.
You gotta be kidding me. When did you stop beating your wife?
