Download the trial for VueScan at www.harmick.com. Its allowed me to use scanners which are no longer officially supported. The reasonable solution found on this thread. Works beautifully. Thank you VERY much!

I am glad it helped. It has allowed me to use scanners long past their planned obsolescence.
It may not have some of the features included with the original driver software, but gets the job done with basic scanning.
Happy New Year!

Once the Windows twain function is turned on, you will still need Irfanview, photoshop or some PDF writer or some other program to actually access the TWAIN (Windows Image Acquisition (WIA) service) and grab images.

Mine is. Manual meant that it defaulted to OFF with every reboot.

find a good working xp on craigslist to use as a slave, use your new computer for your regular workAmen. I refuse to play Microsoft's game. You can find cheap but powerful machines on eBay for around $60 without an OS. XP is going for about $20 now, so go that route and have a machine that can handle all your legacy devices.
I did that for my ADX video copier (died when Vista came out) and those "cheapie" computers of this model are sweet to work with.
Yeah, you can buy a new scanner for that much and it will last - until Win 11, etc.

Useless. Windows 7 wouldn’t even install from CD.

Have you tried connecting the scanner to the pc? It might automatically select a driver.Plug 'N Play didn't work either.

Vue Scan works. Makes a great program for any scanner with updates and tech support. Great program. Up and running.

VueScan is a wonderful program.
Pal of mine has an old Agfa SnapScan, still works with latest version of MacOS thanks to VueScan.
