Publix pressured to cover enquirer at checkout line.
I’m sorry about the headline. it burned me up so bad, had to post it. And I’m not a frequent poster. So forgive me.
Was going by anectdotal evidence.
“They” are the Publix managers.
That is weasel talk. National Inquirers are no more or no less offensive than the other tabloids. Thet do not coover them up do they?
Perhaps pick one up while in line, leaf through it, and then replace it on top of some other less-censored tabloid. :)
Color me confused. It sounds to me as though Publix has gone into the snowflake protection biz.

I was just there yesterday, and it’s right next to the other rags in full view.
Not negative stories about the Democrat Party, but rather pictures and stories of Trump &/or his family. It has caused Democrats to shudder in fear, and soil themselves.
Very true. Check out the pictures at the following link. The Enquirer cover is the least offensive of all three.

Just spoke with mgr of nearest Publix. He couldnt site the offensive cover but said he will bring it up at next mgr meeting. He was very nice.
Girl who originally answered said she looked and none were covered. Obviously lying or didnt really look. She did put me on hold for a while probly hoping I would just hang up.

I plan on calling Publix corp office Monday morning and asking about this.
Publix was my favorite grocery store. The mgr I reached was very nice and sounded like personally he disagreed with this. But of course he’s just following orders.
Remember, SE Florida is 66% d-rat. The mgr who my Mom spoke with said it was SE FL. But that appears incorrect, I think it’s statewide.
I am very angry about this.
Although I didn’t need ANOTHER reason to avoid Publix due to their ridiculously inflated prices, this one tips the scale. As it is, I only purchase their BOGOs. But in my state, you have to buy 2. In Tennessee, you can buy one and get the item 1/2 price. Bye, Bye, Publix, hope it hurts.
