George Michael has died at his home in Oxfordshire.
The musician's publicist said that he had 'passed away peacefully' at his property in Goring at 1.42pm today.
Michael, 53, had previously battled drug addiction and come close to death after suffering from a bout of pneumonia in 2011.
However, the circumstances around his death are currently unexplained.

Michael, who was set to release a documentary in 2017, rose to fame as a member of Wham!, known for their hits Club Tropicana and Last Christmas.
The singer - whose real name is Georgios Kyriacos Panayiotou - sold more than 100 million albums throughout a career spanning almost four decades.
In a statement, the star's publicist said: 'It is with great sadness that we can confirm our beloved son, brother and friend George passed away peacefully at home over the Christmas period.

Observation: he was a frosted bleach-blonde in his youth so he’s not got a history of living by his roots (bada*boom*kisk).
Not all cases of AIDS waste away. At least anymore. Sometimes it’s AIDS related. As in immune system is compromised and something else attacks the body and kills them. The meds they have for AIDS only do so much.

Don’t think that or something like it has not been on my mind. I suspect where he has ended up. Never understood what has so romantic about a sexual encounter in a nasty public toilet. We know the track record with sodomites and Christianity so I really doubt it but we may be surprised in the afterlife. Know one thing for sure, he did not die peacefully, he died too young because his past caught up with him.

The reason lesbians rarely have aids (iv drug abuse excepted) is due to anatomy of the sex act and lack of promiscuity that is prevalent amongst gay men. It is that simple.

Fuzzy logic. You can use the word "many" for as few as three items. As contrasted with 97%, which is also many, it's not so much. With regard to AIDS, it's around 67% gay folks. Most of the heteros who die of AIDS were either promiscuous women whose male partners had sex with gay men, or they were injection drug users, or they (rarely) got it from a hospitial or dental procedure. The figures have been inflated by world health stats because more heteros have it in Africa and the Middle East due to rape culture against women and children; but hetero AIDS cases are more rare in the U.S. than the propaganda indicates. That's no reason for heteros to be careless with unsafe sex, however.
You can't get AIDS from a toilet seat or casual contact. The virus has to enter the bloodstream, which is hard to do unless you inject something, or you force something roughly against the receiving end of blood capillaries, as in anal sex.

* Gay and bisexual men aged 13 to 24 accounted for an estimated 92% of new HIV diagnoses among all men in their age group and 27% of new diagnoses among all gay and bisexual men.
* Gay and bisexual men accounted for an estimated 54% (11,277) of people diagnosed with AIDS. Of those men, 39% were African American, 32% were white, and 24% were Hispanic/Latino.
Although HIV diagnoses increased among gay and bisexual men overall from 2005 to 2014—and increased sharply among African American and Hispanic/Latino gay and bisexual men—diagnoses overall have stabilized in more recent years:
* From 2010 to 2014, diagnoses increased less than 1% among all gay and bisexual men overall and among African American gay and bisexual men. Diagnoses:
* Declined 6% among white gay and bisexual men.
* Increased 13% among Hispanic/Latino gay and bisexual men.
* From 2010 to 2014, among young (aged 13 to 24) gay and bisexual men, diagnoses:
* Declined 2% among young African American gay and bisexual men.

None of this did I ever dispute. I simply disputed your statement that you didn’t know of any heterosexual who had died of AIDS. Patently false. Many have. And if you will cross the ocean to the African Continent, you will find millions . . . men and women. HIV does not discriminate.
