Too bad, although anyone with a functioning brain has known for at least a couple decades power is over priced. That and NH has a less than stellar track record with supporting businesses. No one, it seems, is really willing to do anything more than offer lip service. I wouldn't look for any progress under our new RINO governor. He's the GOPE alternative for positive progress.

The article also mentions a shortage of skilled labor. I wonder if the problem is less about skill and more about how applicants live their lives: can't pass the drug/criminal background checks.

Not only do we have a RINO governor, NH has a totally demonrat congressional delegation. Both congressmen and both senators are demonrats, and the rattiest most demonic of demonrats.

That means we, as a state, are completely disenfranchised from the next session of Congress.

Our NH delegation will work diligently to oppose everything that Trump tries to do, and our governor may as well be a demonrat, too, since he’s part of the republicrat establishment.

What a sorry state.

I wouldn’t begrudge any business from moving out of here.

almost all the firearms makers are moving south. Remington and Panther Arms are making AR 15 in Huntsville Alabama.

Roughly 30% of the population of Jacksonville is black. I'd venture Sig Sauer is taking a significant gamble in that location.

.........if they (all these gun and ammo gunmakers) had been around about, say, 1850, and done this............there might be another flag flying over the White House and fewer Islamist’s running the streets of the US.

Huntsville probably had good human capital development for proper metalworking as a result of the rocketry industry being there for decades.

"The article also mentions a shortage of skilled labor. I wonder if the problem is less about skill and more about how applicants live their lives: can't pass the drug/criminal background checks."

The Pee test is becoming a barrier. One of my gnomes who have spoken about Colorado and their nonsense ( on a national format ) noted it is just a matter of time when the piss test is sent up through the courts. It is that point we are more screwed than we realize.

I can't speak about the skilled labor in NH, I'll have to call my contact their, although I head certain areas are screaming for apprentices.

Onto Energy.

Jeff Kuhner was talking about it Friday and how MASS is taking it the shorts as well. With their all green or nothing attitude, shutting all the Nuclear plants in MA & VT, closing of a Coal fired unit or two, buying all their electricity from Canada, and turning down a gas pipeline what the h@!! do they expect?

Co-Generation / Combined Cycle burning Natural Gas is probably New England's most cost effective alternative, but given their NIMBY as well, good luck with that...

The two previous governors, Shaheen and Hasan set up the increasing power costs for New Hampshire.

Now, they are both senators and trying to do to the USA what they did to New Hampshire.

Hasan wouldn’t have won if McCain’s lapdog, Ayotte, hadn’t stabbed Trump in the back.

Bernie is a Senator from Vermont, not NH. And btw, Vermont has Constitutional carry...and we here in NH are soon to follow, with a newly elected Republican Governor. It passed twice here in NH, but vetoed by Hassan.

Went and looked at a P226 yesterday. Love the double/single action but it is a bit bigger that I was looking for.

FYI

Thomas Edison and Henry Ford toured the area just west of Huntsville.
Ford wanted to build a city 75 miles long the TN river.
A manufacturing base unlike any in the northern hemisphere.

A senator from Nebraska (Norris) killed Ford’s plan.

REPEAL THE 17TH AMENDMENT.
