A growing group of artists is hitting back against Ivanka Trump, with some even demanding the president-elect's daughter take their work down off her walls.
A collection of New York artists have banded together to protest Donald Trump through his daughter, with a campaign called 'Dear Ivanka'.
The colorful crusade was created by the Halt Action Group, which was founded by curator Alison Gingeras, dealer Bill Powers, Jonathan Horowitz, and a group of others associated with the art scene, Bloomberg reports.

If they sold her the art, they no longer on it; the purchaser now owns it. They then have no right to tell her what to do with her art. Who do these idiots think they are?

I have no idea what she will do with these so called works but frankly unless this spurs her to do something outrageous with them this is a non story. Outrageous to the complaining artists that is.
Doubt the snowflakes could afford to buy the works back. I am sure that Ownership by Ivanka has markedly increased the value of same well beyond Creation by X did or does.
I think a compromise could be reached here. She could put the art in plastic cases of her own urine and then show them.
I think that could work for everyone.
I hope Ivanka says simply, “You put it up for sale. I bought it. I own it.”
Her walls, her painting, bought and paid for.
They belong to the buyer. They’ve been SOLD. That’s the end of any rights or monetary interest in these works.
She should just ignore the ranting cupcakes and live her life as she chooses. I would not buy any more from these scumbags, but she need not concern herself with their objections to her interior decorating.
You mean, after she bought the paintings, probably paying more than they were worth to the dealer and/or artists, they believe they can dictate to her what she does with them? Ivanka, oblige these artists. Take their work off your wall, and use the paintings in question for toilet paper, after you shred them. They won’t be “embarassed,” and you’ll get full value for your purchases.
If she owns it, they have nothing to say about where and how she displays it. It is hers.
If they don’t like it there, they can offer to buy it back.
I am sure Ivana would charge them a reasonable price.
They don’t care about such mundane concerns as money, except when selling their paintings.

Most likely she will do nothing except choose to ignore their childishness.
Of course they do. But they do not have the right to demand that she remove artwork from her walls.
Ivanka PAID for their so-called art.
It’s her property to do with as she pleases. I hope she tells them to go pound sand.
Yeah, let them buy the pictures back from her. They are HER property, and she can display them as she sees fit.
An added bonus - if they come up with some significant money to buy them, then they go on record as having some money. If they happen to also be collecting government benefits (food stamps, welfare, section 8, etc.), then they are setting themselves up for an investigation and potential charges.

If you click on the article, all the “art” shown is horrible anyway. If I were Ivanka, I’d throw in the dumpster or burn it!
