Orlando, Florida (CNN)President-elect Donald Trump said Friday his supporters were "violent" during the 2016 campaign.
Trump made the admission Friday night during a rally here on the Florida leg of his "Thank You" tour. During the campaign, he repeatedly downplayed violent outbursts his supporters displayed at times toward protesters and insisted that paid activists were instead responsible for inciting violence at his rallies. "You people were vicious, violent, screaming, 'Where's the wall? We want the wall!' Screaming, 'Prison! Prison! Lock her up!' I mean you are going crazy. I mean, you were nasty and mean and vicious and you wanted to win, right?" Trump said Friday. "But now, you're mellow and you're cool and you're not nearly as vicious or violent, right? Because we won, right?"

Have “protesters” always been left-wing? Do “protesters” ever restrict themselves to peaceful protest?
To my recollection, the media uses the (mostly approving) term “protestor” when covering people on the left. These protestors often threaten violence or property damage.
One possible counterexample would be people who peacefully picket abortion clinics. I don't know if they get the “protester” label. They are often forced to disband with little fanfare. No sympathy from the media for those people.
I don't remember Martin Luther King's marches. The left claims him as their own, but it is conservatives who quote his words. His marches were reputed to be nonviolent.
I didn't approve of “Occupy Wall Street” for a few reasons. Didn't they “occupied” private property that was not their own? I'm not aware of this taking place with MLK, but I really don't know.

Even the leaders, at least the academics and many others, who construct the lies do not understand that they are lies because they believe that something is true because they thought it and said it. My ole friend since ca 1965, the prof at UF can tell me with a serious tone that reality is entirely a mental construct and we only have to think utopia and we are in Utopia. We get into circular arguments and I challenge him to think Utopia why does he have to convince anyone else when he can just think it and it will all be so. He says we have to make everyone think the same way. I ask then how is reality a mental construct if you have to convince other people ? How are there other people in the first place? They believe themselves so smart they have walled themselves off from the normal folks and try to force their fantasies on the world. Then there are the practical leftists, and there are such creatures, and they are the ones who actually end up running it all when they do manage to put over a Revolution. They see that all this stuff is the tools for their personal power and nothing more.

I watched it...in CONTEXT it was good natured kidding admiration for how enthusiastic people were....by no means was it a condemnation.

If people do not understand the military then I suggest join it and understand what it takes to keep a nation secure.
