SHOCKING SCHEME TO STEAL THE PRESIDENCY

WASHINGTON – The plan is to prevent Donald Trump from becoming president by denying him a victory in the Electoral College and throwing the election into the House of Representatives, where the GOP majority could try to elect another Republican.

And, given the makeup of the GOP House leadership, the alternative to Trump in that scenario could well be an establishment Republican.

The plan is actually the brainchild of Democrats who call themselves “The Hamilton Electors.”

My guess is that there may be 3 to 5 electoral college irregularities, having no significant effect on the outcome but providing an interesting footnote in discussions of faithless electors. Most will stay with the program and do what they are supposed to do. One or two won’t, not a huge deal and perhaps the last gasp of this lifeless drama.

Meanwhile, the effort to “explain” the election with reference to massive Russian interference will slowly die from lack of both support and relevance. The basic fact is that attitudes towards Clinton and Trump were polarized from the start and releasing information about them during the campaign probably changed almost no votes on either side. If anyone did change their mind, it was more likely due to something they saw during a debate. Nobody hacked into the debates. It is what it is — an ongoing sharp divide between the heartland and the cities, that may begin to fade if Trump does manage to improve the economy. As with Reagan, his reputation may grow in office despite a campaign by elites to discredit him.

I am optimistic but I would not brush any of this stuff aside, vigilance and freedom were forever related by a better man than most of us half a century ago.

... that may begin to fade if Trump does manage to improve the economy.

The MSM was suggesting, if not predicting, a Stock Market collapse if Trump won. So he won and the DOW made a run at 20,000. So what's the news?

"DOW BACKS OFF RECORD RUN"

Learn to live with it.

" throwing the election into the House of Representatives, where the GOP majority could try to elect another Republican"

Y'all are too stupid to be allowed internet access because the House only gets to vote between the top 3 electoral vote winners per our Constitution.

I read somewhere that there are 11 states that apparently were listed as winner-take-all, but are actually not required by their state constitutions to vote like that. Is there a move afoot to have these states vote proportionally?

Trump gaining new Electoral votes might depend on how they story below plays out. If true, how do we feel about blatant Putin intervention in our election, even if we are happy about the result?

Given all the other corrupt sh*t that’s going on these days, this isn’t particularly shocking; it’s really just par for the course.

The stink that emanates from obama’s Washington fouls the entire United States.

The House cannot choose another Republican. They have to choose from the candidates who ran.

WND to me has no credibility. I’ve forwarded stories from them only to be embarrassed by them. I no longer read their stuff. It’s Alex Jones’ish...

LOL. Their last stunt blew up in their faces, and now the Michigan SOS is bringing on a full-on investigation of nearly half of the precincts in Detroit because they registered more votes than actual voters, all in favor of, yes, that’s right, Hillary.

If some electors voted for someone other than Trump or Clinton, there would be three.

They’re not going not going to be able to peel of 37 electors, but it’s not for lack of trying. Even Obama is with her. Seditious traitors all.

I assume this is nothing, and I hope it is nothing. If they start a civil war by overturning the election though, I do not expect them to survive, and I have no sympathy for them.

Does anybody who writes this tripe even look into the requirements of becoming an elector?

No—It’s much easier to play on emotions and keep the pot stirred.

The odds of it being successful are small, but so were the odds of Trump winning the Presidency. So it is not impossible, just improbable. Since it is currently taking place it is not old news either. I for one will breathe a big sigh of relief when next Monday comes and the electoral college finally makes it official that Donald J. Trump is our 45th President of the United States, which I believe will be the case. Notice I said believe and not confident, because I've learned from this race that anything can happen.

One thing I am confident about is that if he is not the winner of the electoral college, this country will erupt into total chaos.
