He also played a WWI pilot in the Mummy. A fine performance.
great show. Dr. Bombay, Endora, Gladys Kravitz, Mr Tate, Uncle Arthur, Aunt Clara....and of course the smoking hot Mrs Stevens herself.
He reprised the role a few times on NBC’s supernatural soap opera “Passions”
Love him and Hogan’s Heroes very very funny rest in peace
RIP Colonel Crittendon.
He was good at being a nuisance to Hogan.
Yep brings back memories of Bewitched to hear about Dr. Bombay.
I didn’t know he was in so many other movies and TV shows. The character actors are true workhorses in the Hollywood hierarchy aren’t they.
RIP, Dr. Bombay.
First Alan Thicke, now Dr. Bombay..RIP to two great actors
I believe that Erin Murphy (Tabitha) is the last survivor of the Bewitched Cast. RIP.
I believe he was the last surviving adult actor who had a recurring role on “Bewitched.”
Dr.Bombay was my favorite Bewitch character.
Rest in peace, Mr. Lawson, and condolences to your family. Thanks for the entertainment and the laughs.
I loved him on Hogan’s Heroes when I was a kid. He was just about the last person to regularly appear on Bewitched to still be around - except for Erin Murphy who played Tabitha and Greg and David Mandel-Bloch (twins) who too turns playing Adam.
I believe he was also the only actor in both ‘Titanic’ and ‘A Night to Remember’
I think he appeared on Hollywood Squares a couple of times.
I can see him doing that, be such an upbeat, gabby individual.
Many entertainment legends leaving us this year: Alan Thicke, Doris Roberts, Alan Young, Robert Vaughan, Gene Wilder, Florence Henderson, Abe Vigoda, Ron Glass, Nancy Davis Reagan, now Bernard Fox...I’m sure that’s not all.
RIP. I think he’s the guy who replaced Aunt Bee while she went on vacation in an episode of the Andy Griffith Show.
KRAMER: Simple. You let out one emotion, all the rest will come with it. It’s like Endora’s box.
JERRY: That was the mother on Bewitched. You mean Pandora.
