Should be confirmed within days. Not sure if this is good or bad.
Theoretically the DNI has oversight over all the spy agencies, but has not been much more than a ceremonial position in the hands of the current dunce.
The dead wood she should have cleaned out is herself.
He won by nearly 8 percentage points. That's far beyond "barely" winning - that's quite a solid victory.
Well it is a bit closer than some things...at one point some people were posting photos of a teenage Rubio with fellow members of his football team obviously at a high school event and saying they were newly unearthed photos of a gay sex party...beyond idiotic.
Heather Wilson would also be much more qualified for the post. There may be a place for Fiorina but Director of National Intelligence? That just doesn’t seem to be the right fit.
She’s crazier than a rat in a shithouse and has abysmal timing and instincts.
If she is not being set up in a de facto sinecure as a future scapegoat, this is a bad pick.
I think Trump would do this—a smart woman will be his hatchet woman, and cut out the partisan dead wood. I could think of no one better—But Trump better keep her on a short leash. (not that she’s a dog or anything).
“comical”.
Yes, it is an absolutely comical nomination if it occurs. Various former employees of HP would tell story after story of her management style.
I think the intention here is that the intelligence community is going to get a bold dash of bad management for the next year or two...as sort of a gift by the Trump administration. Some career people will retire or resign. In three years some congressional review will indicate that they need to be totally gutted out and rebuilt because of Fiorina’s management style. She’s just a trigger to get to the real deal.
Our cyber security is riddled with spies, f**kups, Muslims, etc. I think there are places for Carly and Romney.
Both are good at cleaning house.
Hmmm, iSnarly as a sort of intentional TrigglyHuff? Role sounds purely admin. If this report isn’t a crock as so many others have been and she’s actually the one, maybe you’re onto something.
She will first fire thousands of people then reorganize then fire thousand more then reorganize etc. BTW does she get a golden parachute when she leaves gov’t?...
Unlike some here, I think Trump understands that.
If she can get me deal on toner for my printer then I'm all for her appointment.
Carly pissed me off as a Trump supporter from the beginning.
But she is really, really smart. I knew her a little when she was at Lucent. She was by far the most capable executive they had, and quite visionary.
If she can be trusted to whole-heartedly support the Trump agenda, I think could be a good pick.

“Off the top of my head, it strikes me as comical. I dont believe it.”
ditto. this woman knows NOTHING about national intelligence. NOTHING! All she’s ever managed to do is run two gigantic tech companies into the ground.
“Wait till you hear it announced by President elect Trump.”
Then it will be genius and inspired! Until then, it’s horrible
