TERRYTOWN, LA (WVUE) -
Former John Curtis and NFL player Joe McKnight was killed Thursday in a possible road rage shooting at a busy Terrytown intersection, according to the Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office.
The Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office said it happened just after 3 p.m. at the corner of Behrman Highway and Holmes Boulevard. Two lanes of the roadway were shut down for several hours following the shooting.
Multiple witnesses said a man in an Infiniti sedan pulled the victim from his Audi and shot him multiple times after a verbal altercation. Witnesses said the shooter then waited for police to show up.
Sheriff Newell Normand identified the suspected shooter as Ronald Gasser, 54. Normand said he does not believe McKnight was carrying a gun.
Normand said there was a verbal exchange after a traffic incident, but did not release any other details about the moments leading up to the shooting. He said he will release more details after interviewing witnesses and Gasser.

Witness said that he shot McKnight then said “I told you not to F_@K with me” and then shot him again.
I give him about 2 weeks in Angola. Buh-bye.

I don’t see any rioting in Terrytown.
It’s the “pulled him out” part that might change. His lawyer may convince a jury that it only looked that way, and in reality the NFL sized decedent jumped out of the car and lunged at his client in a threatening manner.
