Actor Mark Wahlberg isnt hip to everything all these liberal celebrities have to say.
In fact, hes quite tired of hearing their thoughts about politics just like the rest of us.
Not one to be subtle, Wahlberg says celebs need to be quiet.
From Truth Revolt:
In a recent interview promoting his upcoming film Patriots Day, actor Mark Wahlberg said celebrities need to shut up about politics and look outside their bubble.
Wahlbergs words
You know, it just goes to show you that people arent listening to that anyway. They might buy your CD or watch your movie, but you dont put food on their table. You dont pay their bills. A lot of Hollywood is living in a bubble. Theyre pretty out of touch with the common person, the everyday guy out there providing for their family. Me, Im very aware of the real world. I come from the real world, and I exist in the real world. And although I can navigate Hollywood and I love the business and the opportunities its afforded me, I also understand what its like not to have all that.
Marky Mark for the win!
Hollywoodians most certainly live in a bubble, and they are surrounded by group thinkers.
They dont know what real people struggle with on a daily basis, like the spiking prices of healthcare.
I wonder what Wahlberg and far-left radical George Clooney talked about on the set of The Perfect Storm?
It doesnt sound like theyd be the closest of friends.
Side note*** Marks brother, Donnie Wahlberg, endorsed Carly Fiorina early on before switching to Sen. Marco Rubio.
Lots of them are out of the closet now.
After Pebbles(Rock Hudson)died is when the big push to normalize sodomy began. And he was actually a pretty nice guy in person and treated people very well.
30 years? Try 50. It started in the 1960s.
stolen :)
I used to hate his guts, but this is pretty cool.
It’s true whether a celebrity says it or not. No contradiction, no paradox, no irony. :-)
Marky Mark permanently blinded a guy in a racial hate attack.
That is why he is not allowed to possess firearms.
He is a felon.
so it’s OK if I don’t care that he said I shouldn’t care what he says...
Absolutely. It’s not one of those “I am lying” tricks.
ping to Steely Tom before he goes “Nomad” on us. :-)
From wikipedia - Trinh was interviewed in December 2014 by the Daily Mail; he revealed that he had already lost that eye during the Vietnam War.
But still a good example of why celebrities have no reason to expect me to care about their opinion. I don’t care what he says. I don’t care when he says I shouldn’t care what he says.
What changed, and quite drastically, is the quality of movies that Hollywood produces. I’m old enough to remember the early “made for TV movies” of the 1970’s. For the past several decades, the garbage that Hollywood churns out is a step below those old made for TV movies.
At least all those old Commies and Gays from the 50’s knew how to write a good script. Maybe hiding in the closet inspired them to make great art, LOL.
Where did the nickname Pebbles come from?
Rock on screen struck me as decent person.
Hollywood has run out of ideas for new movies. They're always doing remakes.
I didn't watch the Emmy Awards show, but after reading about it -- every skit was anti-Trump/GOP/patriarchy -- I wagered that they had mooned half their audience. Lack of self-awareness leads to actions contrary to self-interest.
I think it’s more pedophilia.
Mama Wahlberg raised them well. They did not forget where they came from.
Well, Harcourt Fenton Mudd approves...
thank you for curing me of my ignorance on this matter.
Now I feel dumb for repeating something that is not true.
