Texas Republican Elector to resign instead of voting for President-elect Donald Trump

A Republican member of the Electoral College from Texas says he’s resigning so he won’t cast one of the state’s 38 electoral votes for Donald Trump.

Art Sisneros previously told The Associated Press that he was wavering on supporting Trump because the Republican “is not biblically qualified for office.”

In a lengthy weekend blog post, Sisneros updated that, saying “the best option I see at this time is to resign my position as an elector.”

Yep, I remember it Henry’s brother. Seems to be the only EC voter in the country not willing to vote for Trump - at least that I ever heard of.

"He’ll never again be an elector."

He shouldn't even be a Texan.

The difference is that in your scenario, Lindsey Graham would have possibly won the presidency. Though we may not like Graham, we should still stand behind the Republican candidate in the general election. The problem is that Art Sisneros is not.

Was the Book of Beebers written by the prophet Justin?

No, it was written many years ago but was discovered by FReeper albaby upon his return from tiajunna Mexico.

After many threads it was added to the Book of FReeping filling in the hole between the Book of Armaments and the Book of Zot!

Since then there have been several other books found including the Book of Robinson, Songs of the Moderator and Quotes of Wise FReepers (the last is a work in progress).

I checked out the guys website and he goes into this extended exegesis about what type of leader God wants and how Trump fails what this guy considers God’s test. Compared to him I must be a heathen because to be totally honest I look at history and the issues this country faces in choosing whom to support.

If that’s truly how he feels, I congratulate him for making an ethically sound decision.

Biblically qualified? Sounds like sisneros has been promoted above his ability to comprehend and understand.

Would this oh-so-Biblically-oriented elector have voted for Willard The Rat Romney? For John Burn-Down-The-Forestal McCain?

Maybe Arturo changed the spelling from Cisneros to Sisneros so he could not be accused of “cisgenderism.”

Luckily the Presidency isn’t a religious office. It’s a Constitutional one and it only has two requirements, neither of which is biblical in nature.
