Will President Trump repatriate antique firearms?
Me | November 17, 2016 | Freedom Is Not Free

Now that we have a pro-gun President, do you think he will repatriate all the firearms out there that Obama didn't let in? I understand that there are boat loads of WWII weapons discovered since the fall of the Soviet Union and the merging of East Germany with Germany. At least that is my impression. And that Clinton and Obama have made it illegal for people to return these guns to America for sale. Am I completely out of touch with this or are there thousands and thousands of Garands, carbines and 1911s overseas that Trump could allow for sale again in America.

Leftover WW-II or Korean war weapons would be questionable at best. I’d rather he made it legal to import Imbel FAL rifles and parts for them.

A T-34 would be great in the snow.

I apologize for the link. It doesn't exist any longer.

It was from 2012.

I need to celebrate the Trump victory with a purchase. An M1 carbine brought in from overseas would be just the thing. Of course, I could suffer with just an Garand. (wink wink)

I have a number of antiques, but I would love to have a Garand.

I'd love it if a bunch of crates full of Mosin-Nagants could find their way to the States. Helluva lot of fun for not a lot of money.

Why don’t you post this on Trumps site, https://apply.ptt.gov/yourstory/.
It is tell your story and make America Great. Would real like to have a M1 Grand to match the M1A.

Forget the carbine, take the Garand. Too many examples in WWII of infantry officers turning in their carbines for Garands after initial combat experience.

Carbines are cute but Garands get the job done.

Anyway, hope Pres. Trump breaks the import logjam.

"...holding out for a T-34..."

If you just need something for deer hunting (have all the deer in the forest walk out with their hands up...), this might be what you're looking for...

One of the local Cabelas said they are getting a trickle of Mosins again. There were 3 on the rack, all 1942 or 1943, one of them being a 1942 ex-sniper. $249 each, though.

Supposedly a large amount of 1911’s were destined to be released (10,000/yr) to the CMP for civilian purchase but was blocked by John McCain as he wants to send them to Rock Island to be melted.

Not thousands and thousands.

Hundreds of thousands.

And that’s just South Korean M1-Garands.

The ultimate Kalashnikov style rifle is called Vepr, which is a sort of a Ukrainian word for a wild boar. Those come in multiple calibers including the large Russian 30-caliber which the Mosin rifle uses and for which ammo is dirt cheap at gunshows. The Vepr rifle comes with a medium heavy hammer forged and chrome lined barrel, a squad light machine style receiver which is the strongest stamped receiver made, and is minute of angle accurate. You can find them on gunbroker dot com for under a thousand dollars.

McCain should just make the small leap to being a Democrat.

Crates of Mosins are still available.

Yeah, but if a BUNCH more crates came in, maybe the price could drop back down to pre-Obama prices, lol.

The OT-34 was a flame thrower version. So if you did get stuck in the snow just blast your way through it!
