Ivanka Trump recently appeared alongside her father, President-elect Donald J. Trump, and surrounding family members in their first postelection interview, in New York City. The 35-year-old businesswoman wore a nude short-sleeved dress and opted for gold accessories, including a $10,800, 18K yellow gold diamond bangle from her eponymous jewelry line.
Soon after the interview it was revealed that one of the fashion mavens employees sent an email to journalists offering style details on the expensive bangle.
Seeing as Trumps eldest daughter is heavily scrutinized by the press and media alike, for the conflict of interest that lies in promoting her own business at high profile political appearances, it didnt take long for social media users to take issue with Ivanka hawking her own expensive bangle on the segment. Many users felt that Ivanka was using this important interview as a marketing opportunity.
Ivanka Trump brand president President Abigail Klem said in a statement that a well-intentioned employee was to blame for the release who is still making adjustments post-election. We are proactively discussing new policies and procedures with all of our partners going forward, said Klem.
This isnt the first time Ivanka has worn and promoted her own design.
In fact, throughout her fathers campaign, Ivanka was spotted in many pieces from her own label. She notably wore a $138 sheath dress from her clothing line to introduce Trump before he accepted the Republican Partys nomination for the presidency at the Republican National Convention, back in July. Shes worn a number of other dress and shoe styles from her collections to appearances during the political campaign. Self-branding will always be controversial for high profile figures, especially for those with political ties, but it doesnt seem like Ivanka plans to change.

Didn’t have to steal nothing or break laws, or accept any gifts from foreign sources trying to buy influence and she owns it!
Yahoo is a pathetic party organ for the alt-left. F*ck ‘em.
I just took my kids out to eat and CNN was on (without sound, thank God for small miracles) and all you saw for the past hour were stories about Ivanka’s bracelet and that there is turmoil and unrest on the transition team. There was a brief fleeting headline about the unrest being Ivanka’s husband’s fault as well.
Did they go bonkers when Hillary wore a $12,000 burlap sack to cover her diapers?
Wearing a gold expensive bracelet is bigoted. Just because.
White gold = White Nationalist. Just is.
If it’s her label she has chosen it and likes it. Women like to wear what they like.
No matter what she wore it would have been wrong for the rabid media. The uninhibited, highly expensive, mainly nasty looking clothing that MB wears they cannot rave about enough.
I hope Ivanka realizes that the democratic left is really nasty and departs from it. I have heard that she is a democrat, of which I am not sure of. She needs to realize how very morally bankrupted and horribly nasty they are right across the board. Maybe she will have an epiphany.
This is so new for Democrats because they never produce ANYTHING.
beautiful woman and she is attacked. Trumps beautiful classy woman, soon to be first lady , and has not had one decent coverage.
Obama’s wife who is just average at best, and I am being generous here , has within the first day had positives reviews from nearly all the media, and that went on for years.
I abhor Yahoo
and obama’s wife wears how much when she went to a homeless shelter?
Remember that horrible jacket that Hillary work that was valued at $12K? At least this is GOLD!
Yahoo! is taking it on the chin with the comments. As they always do; as they always should.
The CEO and the whole management team need to be canned quickly.
Ivanka could wear a Daffy Duck costume and it wouldn’t bother me
Big whoop. Not near as rich as her or her family . . . easy for us regular normal folks to have one between 5K and up.
Now IF it was 100K . . . but 10K . . . eh no big deal.
Jewelry is expensive. Especially 18K these days. Throw in some precious gemstones and diamonds . . . like in a “slide” bracelet and it is $$$.
Whoop-t-doo.
At least Ivanka DESIGNED IT, EMPLOYED PEOPLE TO MAKE IT AND PAID FOR IT HERSELF!
Her dad taught her well. I’ve been so enjoying watching the Trump family use these cretinous fools for their own puposes when said fools hate them so much.
But no complaints about the $30,000 vacuum cleaner bag house coat that Hillary wore on the campaign trail.
Or Moochelle’s expensive clothing.
So let me get this straight, government employee unions contributing to the campaigns of Democrat politicians who “negotiate” salaries and benefits with them is fine. But if the kid of a Republican politician wears their own designer jewelry in the public eye, it’s a conflict of interest...
