Looking back after yesterday's/this morning's win, is anyone else other than me actually now glad Romney lost in 2012?
If he won, he would have been facing a re-election campaign after a mediocre 4 years of status quo, against the same Hillary Clinton we just defeated, but with less fire and offense to attack her over her scandals, voter fraud, and over all policies?
Looking back, I believe it was God's will that he lost, otherwise we might never have President Trump today to MAGA!!!
Seamus just channeled: “LOCK HIM UP”!
Crap... Moderator, can you please edit the Headline to read “ Anyone else relieved that Romney lost 2012?? “
Thanks!
I'll get back to you. One thing I am truly happy about though is that Mitch McConnell actually held firm on something and blocked Obama's SCOTUS nominee, now we get a Trump appointee!
Romney’s character got fully exposed in 2016. He played a role in us loosing Virginia (McMuffin). I am glad he never became president.
Talk to me about this again in 4 years. I hated Romney but voted for him.
Trump could be great! Or not. I will be optimistic and assume he will be good.
Haven’t thought about that yet. In a conversation with my son, who had to overcome his disgust with Trump to vote for him, I pointed out the Trump was the ONLY ONE who would fight against the Democrats. I asked ‘was there anyone else who fought against the Dems at all, in that pack of Primary candidates?’. Maybe Cruz, but he was outed as deeply flawed. I pray the good Lord will again bestow his favor on His greatest experiment in individual freedom.....the United States of America.
Not really. I think Hussein has done a hell of a lot of damage in the last four years.
But God, in His Sovereignty, chose differently. He of course knows best!
Just went to Mitt’s twitter account. No congratulations, nothing. Very ungrateful on his part. Sad.
No need to be optimistic, he will be great. In fact he may even exceed Ronald Reagan, and I do not say that lightly either.
I didn’t like Romney, voted for him;
But the Obama administration has been so damaging to the country,
Same-Sex Marriage, Abortion, Obamacare. Unemployment, Economy, Refugees.
These are all very bad things that happened in the last 4 years.
This is the end of 28 years of similar policy. Romney would have fit in quite well.
Yes, no Obama reelection, no Trump.
Who knows, the Democrats may say they are glad they lost in 2016 come 2020 or 2024.
There may a strong reaction there as well.
However, if Trump performs as well as Reagan, then there should be a ‘third term’ of some sort.
With Willard’s win, we’d have been facing epic-sized losses in 2016. The Butcheress would’ve walked into office with 400 EVs and 2/3rds Dem majorities... just as Willard planned.
Romney was just another garden-variety, silver-spoon, greasy politician whose actions would have led us down the same kind of disastrous path that idiot Bush’s actions did. Like his father, Mitt was a large government advocate and ineffective campaigner who regularly soiled his political underwear.
Any Republican was better than Obama. Any Republican is better than Clinton. We don’t win by losing. Romney would have been a far, far better President than Obama. Trump will be a far, far better President than Clinton.
Obama recently intimated that illegals would face no recriminations for voting in the US election. I want Trump to prove him wrong. Democrats have been stealing elections since 1960 (at least). It is time we act to ensure honest elections. The dead still vote Democrat in Chicago and other big cities. Enough its too much already.
Romney wouldn’t have inflicted the colossal damage that Obama has done.
And Trump would still have risen to fight the uniparty.
