Flash From The Past, November 8th, 1994
11/8/1994 | OV

I have had this picture on my parts dept at work on the wall for 22 years. It's an image screen shot I took of Croossfire on CNN on November 8th 1994. It was the night Republicans won the House of Representatives and the US Senate to give Republicans full control of Congress for the first time 40 years. We won, because the Clintons tried to push Hillary's government controlled healthcare.

Crossfire panelists were from left to right. Liberal James Carville (garbage basket on head), Paul Begala and conservatives Tucker Carlson and the late Robert Novak (1931-2009).

It's a classic image, because James Carville has a garbage basket in his head from being depressed as Carlson and Novak were ecstatic after learning the Republicans swept the elections. The MSM claimed the election polls showed Democrats would keep both Houses, yet they lost big.<\p>

It's an image I expect to be repeated tomorrow night in many news rooms across America as the election returns roll in showing Trump ended the Clinton's long political control of this country. Especially since the MSM is claiming Trump does not have a chance to win. By the way, the election in 1994 was also on the 8th of the Month that year, just like it is this year.

As for the results, I fully expect Trump to cause many liberals to wake up with wet beds come Wednesday morning. There will be much angst on the left, because Trump is going to win by 3 to 5 points over Hillary, and probably win 300 or more electoral college votes to win in an easy victory. Get ready for the hand wringing of the MSM as they try to figure how they could possibly be so wrong. Gee, maybe it's their skewed polls that threw them off. Ya Think?

I am feeling something I have not felt since 1994, and it's not the hangover I had on Nov 9th that year. Won't happen this time, I don't drink like that anymore.

GOOOO TRUMP!!! Yea baby!

I can’t wait to see Megyn Kelly turn green when she has to say President-elect Trump.

I’ve seen some pretty awful comments made on a guitarist’s website I frequent.

Tonight is no exception.

That wasn’t 1994 - that was 2002 when the GOP won the mid-terms.

I was in my first year of college (after seven years in the USAF), and my History professor told us he was so certain the Dems would lose the house, he promised us no final exam if they kept the house. I went out and voted Republican. Hell, I was 25, and took my learnin’ seriously, so I didn’t care about the final. He was a liberal Jew, but he knew his history, was an honest man, and never brought politics into the classroom. He also loved Israel and the U.S. I respect him, and he was always willing to talk history. He hated the English Department because they were big on revisionism, and he wanted the classics to be understood from their points in time, not ours.

Nope 1994 the Gingrich revolution with the Contract for America

Yeah, that happened in '94.

But Carville wearing a trashcan happened in '02.
