The NYPD chief did not say this. No NYPD chief would EVER say such a thing with an investigation ongoing. He would destroy his own prosecution and provide every defense attorney imaginable with ammunition to claim any local jury is tainted.

I saw last night several tweets were sent to NYPD asking whether they were investigating WJC for these crimes and I don’t think they ever responded to any of them. I don’t know how active they are on twitter or whether they’d at least deny that they were investigating.
