The teams from the SEC stack recruits, that is why they consistently have great teams there. Bama is better at recruiting and coaching, so they are the best of the bunch. Many conferences and schools only offer as many scholarships as they have to give out. In the SEC they will recruit a class of 25 when they only have 10 spots, hope that the 15 will come as walk-ons to play for Alabama, and this leaves less players for the other schools as when they commit, they find out too late that they really have no scholarship and most other teams are full up. Really, it is a form of cheating, and it needs to be addressed.
