Scientists in the US discovered that mice infected with Zika had shrunken testicles, low testosterone levels and low sperm counts.

Although the findings have not yet been replicated in humans, experts say that the virus may also have worrying conseqences for men who become infected.

Dr Michael Diamond, of the University of Washington, who co-authored the study, said: "While our study was in mice, and with the caveat that we don't yet know whether Zika has the same effect in men,
it does suggest that men might face low testosterone levels and low sperm counts after Zika infection, affecting their fertility.

"We don't know for certain if the damage is irreversible, but I expect so, because the cells that hold the internal structure in place have been infected and destroyed.”

The research is the first to link Zika to male infertility.
Previously it was though that the virus, which is passed on through mosquito bites, was only dangerous for pregnant women,br> because it can lead to babies being born with shrunken heads and brain damage, a condition known as microcephaly.
In rare cases it can also lead to Guillain-Barre syndrome which can cause paralysis and lead to death.

Of course it does

You couldn't get millions of dollars in grants to study the virus if it wasn't going to kill millions of people, could you?

Shrunken Testicles? That explains Congress!

Seriously - is this such a BAD thing? I only want Viking Men breeding from here on out to re-populate America and dilute the Pajama Boy panty-wastes. Even if they have to take their women by force...which won’t be a challenge at all!

Considering the way the Viking men are currently behaving are you sure you want them breeding?

Do you mean Minnesota Football?

If so, then, yes. No breeding, LOL!

I want REAL Vikings!

More importantly, how do we get colonies of these mosquitoes started up in the Middle East ?

That would be a challenge.

Mosquitoes need water to breed.

All they have is sand.

Am I the only one who believes Zika could be biological warfare?

Haven’t you ever heard of the Tigris and Euphrates rivers ? And the Nile, of course. The Bosporous and Black Sea in Turkey. There are rivers throughout the Middle East and Persia.

Flaming Conservative :" Am I the only one who believes Zika could be biological warfare? "

NO, there are many others who believe that this is a biological warfare experiment.
The fact is that women are having more abortions in proximity of the virus is a fact.
It has been learned that the virus can be actively alive in men's gonads for 6 months or possibly longer.
The fact that this study shows that there can be permanent irreversible destructive damage to the male live sperm and entire reproductive system
points to 'population control' in one of the fastest growing populations of Central and South America.
Likely suspects are 'Big Pharma', mega-corporations, foundations which advocate population control, and the United Nations.
All of this points to the United Nations pogram of Agenda 21, sustainability, and concern that a burgeoning population will make excessive demands on the worlds food supply.
So, no ! You are not alone, just more vociferous and outspoken than many others.
