Is it just me? Or, does it seem that the press is covering the Clinton corruption today more than it has in some time? Watched clips from Morning Joe and some CNN show that were thrashing the Clintons about these new revelations about "Bill Clinton Inc" just published in WSJ and other papers (revealed by Wikileaks).
Every once in a while, their reporter instincts got the better of them, and they would write a story here or there about White Water, or Kathleen Willey, or maybe some other thing that Ken Starr was investigating. But for the most part they ridiculed any accusers, claimed the eeeeevil Republicans were conducting a witch hunt and the special prosecutor was conducting a "Starr Chamber" investigation. (Several backs were self-pat at coming up with that phrase.)
Don't worry yourself none. These so-called 'reports' of Clinton impropriety will soon blow over, and we'll be back to reading how nasty and evil the Republicans are, and how Dangerous and Dark Donald Trump is.
Everyone in the MSM who has provided cover for Hillary is also guilty of treason.
Maybe they are feeling some tightness around the collar.
The polls are tightening and there’s a good chance Trump is going to win - the press now wants to try to get on the winning side to say they were there all along - they’re scared the only people who will get interviews after the 8th of November are Sean Hannity and Lou Dobbs.....
Your lips to God’s ears.
I noticed it too. Even CBS radio is covering it.
As a rule... always follow the money. What was at the top of Drudge most of the day yesterday (or day before)?
Trump to block ATT/TimeWarner and break apart Comcast/NBC. He used the word: monopoly.
Trump did not have anything to gain by saying what he said. I thought it was crazy to throw out a knuckleball with no value. I wished Drudge did not headline it. Trump knows they are not complete monopolies... so what was his point? Perhaps he knows billionaire MSM executives better than anyone. Perhaps his audience for the statement was only meant for 5-10 people. Perhaps they now see him in the same way we see Obama- vengeful and going to spite them. And Obama gave the example of how to get it done if Congress is not on board: Use every agency, executive order possible.
Not so hard. The whole flock will change course at once. Each just doesn’t want to be the only one.
It’s a hive mind thing us individualists don’t comprehend.
you know you’re right. We have discussions that get a little heated here because we aren’t afraid to speak our mind and a little dissent and discussion is ok.
dailykos is like The Borg Empire. Everyone just nods in agreement, never considering that there’s an alternative.
Excuse to roll the Polls in to show Trump surging and stick it to Bill (the Man) for Hillary’s (the Women) collapse.
Project Veritas has probably got video from within the NYT, WashPo, and WSJ...
$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
Maybe they just realized that their candidate is going to lose, and they better start kissing up to President Trump.
I think it’s a couple of things.
I think the recent polling says 70% of the country doesn’t trust the media, so they know they are losing their audience and have to save face by actually doing a little reporting now and then.
Trump has also been proclaiming loudly that they are dishonest, corrupt, liars, and several other choice adjectives...or adverbs or nouns or whatever...(I’ve slept since then and I have CRS anyway. And I’m an old fart so I have an excuse...)
Anyway, Trump is making it very public that the media is dishonest and can’t be trusted, they also don’t have much of anything to bash Trump about the past few days, and if the want to get back a little of their reputation they have to do something that looks like reporting news.
Then there’s the distinct possibility that they’ll be dealing with Trump in the Oval Office for at least 4 years, and now they know he’s an enemy they really don’t want...so they have to suck up.
I don’t usually watch any of them at all, just Fox and take that with a bucket of salt and double check as much as I Can online, but this evening we had dinner at my mother’s house, and of course she had ABC on, and they at least mentioned wikileaks...I couldn’t hear a lot of it, low volume or my ears are worse than I thought...but at least they mentioned Hillary and her wikileaks problem.
The bigger problem is, the average low information voter still gets so little from their 20 minutes of news a day, they still are so seriously uninformed it’s depressing, and they seem to believe every word of it. She says sometimes “you scare me”...because I actually don’t believe the propaganda she’s been fed for 50 years. To her credit she despises Hillary but she hates Trump too, and believes every negative word she hears, because she wants to believe he’s a “horrible man”, in her exact words. She’ll probably vote for Hillary to keep Trump from winning. She won’t admit it, but I think she hates Trump more than she hates Hillary...And even when I told her I can prove she’s been lied to all this time, she refuses to even think about looking at the facts...
And that’s the problem, liberals don’t want to know the truth. The MSM is feeding them exactly what they want to hear, they suck it up, and the last thing they want is for someone to come along and burst their little bubble by throwing facts in their faces.
I doubt a little actual reporting will change many minds, most low information voters have been brainwashed to believe Trump will destroy the country, regardless what you tell them about Hillary at this point. Too little, too late.
I noticed it first today listening to the top of the hour news on talk radio.
It was a CBS story and it was just straight reporting.
I almost screamed “WHAT’S HAPPENING?”
Also... CNN/Fox News learned how “fickle” the audience is. Fox analysis was so bad for 1st debate, CNN crushed them on ratings. Then it reversed for 2nd and 3rd debates.
They can no longer take a loyal viewership for granted. Now if only the same thing would happen for the Nightly News.
