I thought I heard a billy goat.....
A few questions concerning line-ups, from someone who didn’t pay a lot of attention to either team. Why Coughlan (is Hayward just going to be a defensive sub, going forward)? Is Soler the regular LFer? Is Zobrist no longer the regular 2nd baseman? Is it now Baez’ job? Is Montero below Ross on the depth chart?
For Cleveland: I thought Naquin was their everday starter now? Is that not true? And who is their backup catcher?
Thanks.
The only reason I’m hoping Cleveland wins is because Obama is cheering for Chicago. I know, it’s a sad excuse. But so be it.
I want to see a really good series... I am torn.. years ago I used to take my girlfriend to see the Indians play.. later I worked downtown Chicago in the Loop for a dozen years.
Gotta love Carlos, man! He plays a mean guitar!
But my gosh...all the political ads during the commercial breaks (the pre-game show is being broadcast over the local Fox affiliate) are already getting my blood boiling.
Always has been a problem
On another note, “Laaa”...I wonder what Galileo would think of the “settled” science re: GlowBull Climate Warming Change?
That was the original Flat Earth Society too!
Go Mariners!!
Oh, wait. The Mariners aren’t in the World Series. Again.
Again.
I want the Indians to win to keep Steve Goodman’s “Dying Cubs Fan’s Last Request” relevant.
They already screwed up one line:
“You know, the law of averages Says anything will happen that can,” that’s what it says,
“But the last time the Cubs won a National League pennant Was the year we dropped the bomb on Japan”

I watched some sort of Bryant Gumball story on HBO the other day. It was about how the Yanks became so hated by winning some many World Series.
The reporter said the 2016 Cubs have the potential to become “hated” as well...
Heyward hasn’t hit all year, though he’s the regular gold glove RF. If Coughlan is starting, Maddon’s probably looking for more offense.
Baez is the 2B of the future. Since he’s been hot, need to keep him in the lineup. He’s proving to be probably an all-star 2B offensively and defensively.
Zobrist becomes the super utility guy. He was picked up for that role anyway and ended up being a starter until the young guys like Baez proved themselves. There is no regular left fielder. Schwarber was being groomed for that as well as Bryant. But Bryant has stayed solid at 3B, and Schwarber got hurt so Zobrist is the choice. He has been hot hitting all year, so he won’t come out of the lineup.
Ross is Lester’s personal catcher so he will catch when Lester pitches. Wilson Contreras is the catcher of the future whose performance this season is pushing Montero down in the depth chart (he’s aged anyway). And Ross is retiring. So catchers should be Contreras and Montero next year in that order unless Montero also retires.
Obozamma is a dirty Sox fan...his rooting is invalid. Its a rule
Trump has the same chance of winning as the Cubs and Indians in the World Series!
Got to root for the Cubs!
Thanks. I feel smarter already.
I like seeing Ross out there, because he makes me feel less old.
So after talking with her on the phone after that picture was taken I shot this of our daughter with one of our dairy goat kids and photoshopped the Go Cubs on the goat. I mailed her a print and she was so excited she showed it to all her bingo buddies and had it taped on the corner of her tv for the series. Her favorite player of all time was Ron Santos.
GO CUBS!!!!
Cubs win and Trump wins...
Seems like a plan
Well they shouldn’t have gotten that man’s goat.
