This is nuts. After 51 years of Cub Fandom, we're in the Series.
Schwarber makes the lineup as DH, what a fine credit to the Cubs Mgmt team to have him with the team during rehab all summer.
Lester starts tonight, still can't throw to first, or second for that matter.
All other factors being equal, which they aren't really, Cubs pitching will win this series for Chicago.

You’d think I’d get it right after 18 years here...
It seems like yesterday when I joined.
Go Cubbies!! Lifelong fan here and I am 64. It’s been a long time coming. I think it’s all but over, we have more talent plus I think someone put a curse on Kershaw.
Play Ball!!
Here are the game notes for the Cubs tonight.

Fun to read the trivia and the announcers use these all night long!

Just heard on the radio, Cleveland’s DH Carlos Santana will play left field in Chicago.
He had a great year — 34 homers, 99 walks. He alternates between lead-off (all those walks) and fifth (all those homers). Tito’s an unconventional manager.
Santana’s a switch-hitter, but only four of the 34 homers came from the right side.
From the late 80s forward, my husband always complained about the pitching...
GO CUBBIES, GO!!!!
Grew up a Montreal Expos fan but switched to Cubbies when the Expos went to DC. Dad and I laughed about how this is the first time the Cubs have played in a World Series in both our lifetimes and that he was only a few months old when the Indians last won a World Series in 1948.
This is obviously another indication that we are in the End Times! ;-) The Merciful Creator of the Universe has granted the Chicago Cubs fans one last chance before the world comes crashing down for ever. ;-)
They haven’t won a WS GAME since 1908. If they don’t win tonight look for 1945 again.
I was only 8 years old when our Little League team went there for a day game of course.
In those days, fans could enter the park at 10am and watch infield practice and batting practice. We all lined up on the 3rd base wall and got autographs. Randy Hundley “9” signed my Gil Hodges’s model first baseman’s mitt.
I was a catcher from then on and played that position until I was 21 and aged out of Legion ball.
Nice to see Schwarber back, the ball makes a sound coming off his bat that few other players can match.
This looks to be one of the greatest World Series in decades.
No question! Bonnie’s hot still!
Jollas Honorary Captains 2016 World Series:
Cleveland Indians - Tris Speaker
Chicago Cubs - Ernie Banks
It is only a coincidence they are both from Texas
From a lifetime Yankees fan:
Go Cubbies
Go Joe Maddon
My sister’s,nephew was at the last game with his wife. Last time we went was to take my mom who was a cubs fan over 60 years. We saw Sammy Sosa hit his 59th homer. I grew up on the southeast side but moved to Michigan in the late 70’s. Still close enough to visit everyone often. Our parish priest who passed in the 80’s was buried with his cubs cap.
