UPDATE (10/12/16 11:00 AM): A Jackson County judge has found probable cause against suspect Benjamin Taylor for both 1st-degree murder and 1st-degree sexual assault of 10-month-old Emmaleigh Barringer.
Three witnesses took the stand Wednesday morning in an hour-and-a-half court proceeding: Emmaleigh's mother Amanda Adkins, one of the first deputy sheriffs on scene of the violent attack, and the chief medical examiner who performed Emmaleigh's autopsy.
In her testimony, Adkins says both she and Taylor had been drinking and smoking marijuana the night before the attack.
Adkins says she went to bed around 9 p.m. on Oct. 2. She says she doesn't remember whether she or Taylor laid Emmaleigh down to sleep that night. She added, it was not unusual for Taylor to help take care of Emmaleigh in the middle of the night. Choking back tears, she said, "I thought he loved them."

That’s what I’m wondering. Unless there was something in his system other than alcohol and marijuana.
People better wake up while there is still time to stop this and turn it around. Donald Trump is not the final solution, he is only the catalyst strong enough to make the tide turning moves to right the ship. He will do this by exposing all those secrets that have been so guarded from the American public as to what the true intent has been, for many decades now.
This is heartbreaking and tragic for everyone involved, including the alleged perp. That does not mean I do not hold him responsible, because we all have to make decisions. However, with better guidance he might have been quite different. Same goes for the mother. What she did was trust someone too much, which could happen to anyone in reality.
His FB page indicates that he is in willing bondage to a demon. Anyone who posted items like that and had any decent thoughts when not intoxicated would’ve deleted his account. His girlfriend must’ve known how disgusting he is when she checked FB, unless she avoided computers.
I try to never pass final judgement until all the possible known facts are in, of which there should be plenty thanks to DNA, but if the allegations are true then he should without doubt receive the death penalty, and it should be carried out swiftly without delays. Because even though blackouts are a known occurrence it does not excuse one actions or release them from responsibility for those actions. Because they made the decision to drink to that point of intoxication.
Torture him in a medical setting designed to keep him alive. And when he does finally die, clone him and start the torture all over again.
So I guess we will all now be labeled as evil child rapist killers.
