Back when I worked there I had a couple of coworkers that did that. It’s actually pretty good. Salty and sweet go well together, as any fan of salted caramel knows.

This is apparently a thing now. The consumption of fast food is now as effed up as every other tiny facet of society.

Where did we go wrong...Where...

The best thing to dunk them in would be tallow.
Try finding that. Some folks like mayonnaise.

My wife and I started doing that thirty years ago when we were dating. Wendy’s Frosty’s and fries were most excellent back then.

McD’s is kind of following here, since a Wendy’s ad about dipping fries in a Frosty has been out a while.

How is this controversial? People have been doing it for years.

Anyone who grew up on the left coast and is old enough to remember grilling Abalone steaks for lunch right there on the dive boat off Catalina island should try dipping french fries in vanilla ice cream.

And anyone who has never had Abalone should try it, too - to find out what Abalone tastes like.

Yum!

Nothing new. I like bacon bits and strawberry ice cream.

I have been doing a variation of that for over 5 decades:

Soft vanilla ice cream using potato chips as spoons.

Tastes better than it sounds — the sweet and salty.

We did that in their chocolate milkshakes in the 60s. Tasted good.
