Amen.
Nail meet hammer! You couldn't have put it any better!
Well said Leni. This is every day day man on man . I heard far worse the the Gym yesterday among 50 nd 60 year old men. It is a male prowess thing. With each other. It has nothing to do with our actual conduct. Here is actual conduct— RAPE— Lesbianism— intimidation of “”BIMBOS” Lying — taking bribes— destroying evidence under subpoena — destroying government property , exposing hundreds of classified documents to hackers on an illegal server at your house!! There is some conduct becoming of a jail term. Man talk? you have to be kidding me. But we are flushing out weasel Rinos like RYNO and Cruz and we will take note. Go trump. tHE door is open now!!
Years ago, I worked part-time at my best friend’s family Bar, as she was down one bartender at the time, so even though I was working full-time down in the City (Chicago) I said I’d help her out on the weekends and/or the occasional week night. Well, it turned into a 5 year part-time gig, lol. I had boundless energy back then, thank goodness.
Being a Bartender is like being a Psychotherapist, and I heard it all. Especially when the mostly male clientele would get in their cups. If I would not have had a thick skin, plus a lot of patience, I would have lasted two minutes. Sexist jokes, insults, argumentative behavior, rudeness, came flying past me nightly. It was mostly harmless because I blew it off or pretended I didn’t hear much of it. Or just laughed. Many patrons had looser tongues because of the booze, but we’re just out for a night of letting the good times roll.
I could have had my pants twisted in a bunch perpetually while working in the Bar, but I didn’t because I tuned out the more obnoxious behavior and most of the folks in there were actually good working class guys and gals who worked hard at their jobs and were basically good eggs wanting to relax and have fun. I actually really liked working part-time as a Bartender and was very fond of a lot of my customers. Moral of the story folks is life is tough enough without layering on the additional burden of being among the perpetually aggrieved and/or insulted. Or adopting a stance of moral superiority. We are all sinners who could use some improvement.
I still love my Mr. Trump, bless his occasionally potty mouthed self. He’s going to Make America Great Again, you know.
Aww..your poor ears! But you withstood it, and did not crawl into the corner crying...so kudos!!
My good looking wife for 33+ years was in show business when attending Graduate School. She tells how openly “rude” these hyprocasy those, but NOW girly-men, really talked and acted when not in a PC environmental setting. I remember myself the talking in the military, hello !!!
What about the gossip pruned women talking among each other. I listened to Judge Jeanine last night, who I like a lot, like she was NOT living in the real world either???
