One US man got a massive beating after dressing up as a creepy clown and trying to scare a group of friends in a car.
Footage of the incident shows the clown, holding some balloons, walk close to a car where a number of men were hanging out.

Man standing in the road, holding balloons is at worst, an ass. But it is not a crime to be an ass.
It is a crime to hit someone with a club, then continue the attack with multiple attackers. Assault by a mob is reasonable justification for the use of deadly force. Assault by a person swinging a bat at you is reasonable justification for the use of deadly force.
Had the clown pulled a gun and shot dead his attackers, he would have been justified under self defense. His attackers have NO justification.
That has happened.

He was told to back off, he didn’t so yeah beat down justified. They had no idea what was going on so it triggered a perfectly natural fight or flight reaction
Clown was told to retreat and continued to advance, good luck getting the felony conviction in court.
Thinking about putting up some ‘no clown’ signs this Halloween. Clowns can get their candy somewhere else.

I have to wonder what possibly motivates anyone to try and justify this action? Creepy Clowns are asking to get beat or worse. Told to fall back and continue to advance is an aggressive act.
I’m with you. The guy stopped approaching the car. We don’t even know that he WAS approaching the car, in the video he’s just walking down the street.
The guy told the driver to go around him — so I have to assume there was plenty of room in the street to just drive around.
Instead, the car stopped, two men jumped out, and attacked the guy with a bat. The clown never made a move on them or tried to hit back.
If the “clown” in the street had been a black guy carrying balloons, and the car was white people, the Justice Department would be investigating hate crimes against the car’s occupants right now.
But because it was a clown, and the car’s occupants was black, it’s all good.
When the man with the bat got out of the car, the clown turned to leave and was moving away when the man continued his assault. No different than shooting someone in the back.
Yes, that would be according to the RULE OF LAW.
