Having survived a couple of these hurricanes/extended power outages, believe me, the LAST thing you need to be fighting over is the last case of water. When the relief supplies come in (which is usually as soon as the hurricane passes), the first thing that arrives is water. Cases and cases and cases of water. You’ll have more water than you know what to do with.

I bought my family a Royal Berkey water filter system for prolonged emergencies and I did it when there was no emergency looming. It purifies 7-8 gallons an hour and the water is amazing.

In all seriousness, how could ANYONE live anywhere near the coast in Florida and not have at least a couple cases of water PER PERSON stashed for emergency use? Geez, its less than $0.10/bottle even at grocery stores, let alone Sam’s or Costco. You can’t have a LITTLE foresight, and invest a $15 or $25 in water!
