I would not hang him. I would lock him in a 6 x 10 foot cell, with no windows at all. To monitor him I would have a small camera in the 10 foot high ceiling. There would be a steel seatless toliet and a single steel frame bed and a simple water spigot for drinking. No chair, table, shelf, nothing. He would not see another person ever. And I would shower him and the whole cell every other day. No shaves, no haircuts, nothing else. No clothes and I would make sure he stays healthy. A single light in the ceiling would go on and off on a 12 hour schedule. Food would be finger food, no utensils. And he would never leave the room, ever.

If you hang him then he does not suffer. I guarantee my method would do two things, drive him absolutely insane and cause him to regret being there.
