I'm seeing it too. When I search on:

site:freerepublic.com cloward piven

I get "This site may harm your computer" on most of the hits.

I get the same results when searching for anything containing English text. This also happens when searching for foreign words that are newsworthy (like "Merkel" or "Farage").

Here's the weird bit: When the search terms involve no normal English text (like names of freepers or obscure foreign words) there is no such warning. E.g., searches like the following work OK:

site:freerepublic.com ILMARINEN

site:freerepublic.com snarkpup

It looks like the warning is triggered by the search terms; and the content of the pages found is irrelevant.

snarkpup confirms.

Google is playing games with our searches again.

Maybe we should promote another search engine?

If Google wants to hurt us, we can promote competition.

This is a valid response from Google and I'm appreciative of their security. The reason you get it is the search result you are clicking on is a redirect to another page, which is common for malware sites. In the example I post following, Google is giving you the link to American Thinker, wrapped first with a FreeRepublic.com URL.

Hillary’s recovered emails reveal her pulling strings for Chelsea’s ‘best friend’

American Thinker ^

I'd rather think it's something to do with the code on FR making Google provide you the "American Thinker" link and not the link that takes you to the FR Post.
