It is of the opinion of many vets that I know that Obama with the help of Hillary was setting this up to happen during his first term but it failed. Now Obama and kerry are taking the US to a direct confrontation with Russia. I don’t know why Obama thinks a nuclear war right now is beneficial to the United States or the world. But he wants it and is leading us there. Even Jey Johnson indicated that was coming when they started talking about duck and cover in 2011. This is the road they are taking the US on, and it will impact everyone. It could result in 100 million US casualties. And all for Obama’s ego. This is like watching a train coming towards the station at 100 MPH with no brakes or driver and not being able to stop it
What "sudden about-face" on Russia? Trump made those comments on Putin back in 2014. And Pence I'm sure knew all along you cannot trust him.
I’m speaking of Trump’s attitude toward Russia and Putin since he began his campaign. It has up to now been characterized by statements like “He seems to like me so why would I say bad things about him? I think he is someone I can work with.”
The tone is suddenly quite different and I contend Trump has been briefed about an attack on Assad and his forces.
I’d say the change in tone has not been missed by Russia and they probably came to the same conclusion as I have.
I think we will be in a shooting war with Russia/Syria before this coming Sunday... I’d guess late Friday early Saturday but it’s just a guess.

I agree that that is a real possibility, since both Obama and Kerry hate the US military, and both were big supporters of Russia from decades back.
While they continued feeding the Russian Bear with appeasement after appeasement on missile defense, nukes, the Iran deal, etc, etc, making him stronger and stronger, Obama and Co were starving our forces. And now the Bear, like any untrustable wild animal when the free food runs out, is threatening to come after us -- "biting the hand that fed them".

Is there any leader that has not “eaten Obama’s lunch”? He is the most feckless, anti American leader I can remember in my 68 years. Putin is no great guy but I think even he respects Americans more than Obama and he would likely not hesitate to get rid of us. Obama on the other hand wants to humiliate and make us subjects of Islam.

Russia is the largest supplier of Nat Gas to Europe. One of the strategic advantages Russia has over Nato is that it can cut off the heat during the winter. And Germany freezes.
The the gas line cuts across Syria will feed the underbelly of Europe.
Russia’s economy would take the blow, but more importantly, the strategic advantage would be lost.
The odd thing is that it takes about two minutes to explain to someone not even closely educated on current world events to understand why this madness is going on.

OK, this is a pet peeve. A period, in this context, is a time. You either say, “He has been eating Obama’s lunch during this period”, or you say, “He has been eating Obamas lunch for a long time.”
