The Sun ^ | Oct 5, 2016 | PAUL HARPER

Veteran broadcaster Vladimir Pozner told the BBC: "There's a real feeling now that America is out to prove it is the only superpower.

"The continued expansion of Nato is seen by the Russian leadership, perhaps incorrectly, is seen as being a real threat.

"There is a danger of real confrontation, perhaps leading to some kind of military engagement and war."

It has previously been reported that Putin is preparing for war with the West.

Russia is already staging a massive evacuation drill to prepare for nuclear war.

Time to pray that Obama & Hillary are not able to provoke Russia into war over Syria.....

The American people haven't fully learned that Obama & Hillary have supported ISIS in Libya & Syria

FYI, Vladimir Pozner was an admitted Soviet agent while he did those joint TV talk shows with him and Phil Donahue back in the 80s.

Hussein Obama, America’s FIRST Muslim President, needs this conflict to continue his destruction of the US and the west.

By destroying governments, Hussein and his Muslim handlers have been able to set up ISIS for being able to take over what’s left.

Another benefit is that Hussein can declare martial law and stop his loss of power. It is probably a result of Americans figuring out Hussein and Hillary are NOT working for us, they are working for them. HIllary appaarently doesn’t have a chance so Hussein will do what he has to do to further the growth of Islam.

I say we turn over Zero, the Butcheress of Benghazi, Lurch, and the rest of the regime in DC over to Russian Authorities where they can be prosecuted for Crimes Against Humanity.

"It has previously been reported that Putin is preparing for war with the West."

FYI 2, the KGB SOB was preparing for war with the West long before Comrade Obama came on the scene. Back in 2005 they began conducting joint war games with the ChiComs for just that purpose.

How Russia arms America's southern neighbors

Ioan Grillo
May 9, 2014

RIO DE JANEIRO, Brazil -- Russia's push into Ukraine has put many on edge. But less known is that Russia is also strengthening its military links south of the Rio Grande and re-establishing itself as a power in the region.

Vladimir Putin has been strengthening military links here, and Russia is now the largest arms dealer to governments in Latin America, surpassing the United States.

Russia has even floated the possibility of building new military bases in Cuba, Venezuela and Nicaragua, and putting its warships permanently in the Caribbean.

In the midst of the Ukraine crisis, Russia's top diplomat Sergei Lavrov recently visited Cuba, Peru, Chile, and Nicaragua, where he announced that Russia would also pour money into the new Central American canal project. ..."

Russia Boosts Arms, Training for Leftist Latin Militaries

Moscow defense minister inks deals with Cuba, Venezuela, Nicaragua for joint exercises

BY: Bill Gertz
February 20, 2015

Russia agreed to provide military training for three leftist regimes in Latin America and increase military visits and exercises following a visit last week to the region by Moscow's Defense Minister Sergei Shoygu, Pentagon officials said.

Shoygu met with defense and military leaders in Cuba, Venezuela, and Nicaragua and signed several agreements on warship visits and military training during the visit, which ran from Feb. 11 to 14. It is not clear whether any new arms deals were completed during the visit.

Defense officials said the Russian leader is seeking bases in the region for strategic bomber flights that Shoygu recently promised would include flights over the Gulf of Mexico and Caribbean.

Vlad Posner’s background is well known but he’s pretty much retired nowadays and offers his observations about what Russian leadership is thinking even though he is no longer part of the official propaganda machine of the Soviet era.

Why this need to go to war with Russia and blame Russia in the West?

Why this war in Syria that created the Islamic State?

The oil pipeline for the Saudis and Gulf Arabs to replace Russian energy supplies to Europe?

I see it the other way around, they are probing his obvious weakness.

Thank God we have a guy like Pence on Trump's team. He outright condemned Putin numerous times during last night's debate. And said the US needs to take a firmer stance in regards to Russia, as opposed to the O administration who has appeased the Russians time after time on such critical things like missile defense and nukes, including the obviously dangerous Iran nuke deal, which Putin has taken a large amount of credit for.

Pence also harshly criticized Putin for his actions in the Ukraine and elsewhere in eastern Europe.

Donald Trump: 'Putin has eaten Obama's lunch' on Ukraine

Mar 13, 2014
Eun Kyung Kim: TODAY

Donald Trump slammed President Obama Thursday on TODAY for failing to take a stronger line against President Vladimir Putin in dealing with Ukraine, saying he feared Obama would now make up for lost time with imprudent moves to "show his manhood."

The real estate mogul and reality-TV star, who has criticized Putin for sending military troops into Crimea, said Obama must now take fierce steps to prevent the situation from escalating further.

"We should definitely do sanctions and we have to show some strengths. I mean, Putin has eaten Obama's lunch, therefore our lunch, for a long period of time," Trump said. ..."

___________________________________________________

From Real Clear Politics, Sept 10, 2015...

"In a 2014 New Yorker interview, Obama said his goal was to create a 'new equilibrium' in the Middle East.

In the short run, at least, his signature diplomatic undertaking can be counted on to bring more violence to this volatile region.

The Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action, as the [Obama-Putin Iran deal] agreement is formally known, provides the world's leading state sponsor of terrorism an infusion of somewhere in the neighborhood of $100 billion of unfrozen assets and a great deal more of continuing revenues as businesses and governments around the world rush to profit from oil-and-gas-rich Iran's reintegration into the world economy.

The agreement relaxes the international isolation of the Islamic Republic and ratifies Tehran's status as a nuclear threshold state. And it relieves restrictions on Iran's acquisition of weapons, including ballistic missiles. ..."

You friggin a-hole, the Soros-supported Obama administration, as I've pointed out countless times, but you are too damn stupid to understand, or screwed up in the head to care, has intentionally put Putin in the position he is in. Putin couldn't hope to have a better pal in the White House than he has with Obama, despite the public smoke and mirrors BS we hear from the demonRats. That is why the KGB POS needs to act right away.

Pence knows and understands all this. I'll post his debate remarks at some point in the near future, so you idiots can hopefully understand, although I doubt it would make any difference to you, Putin butt kissers that you are.

I see both.

He HATES that Russia did what it did but thank goodness doesn’t have the nerve to go to war.

I know putin is an assassin and would like to grow his empire, but I hope he shows restraint until the election.

Maybe they can be like gorby and Reagan and work out some sort of agreement.

I dont know what the #### to think anymore.

If a day comes when we must fight (i hope not), dont let it be over syria and muslims!!

And if nothing happens by the election and trump wins, maybe putin will know that trump wont mess around, and he’ll avoid war until Trump takes office.

Or he decides he needs to do it before.

Or he doesn’t understand why we are supporting ISIS and rebels and is truly mad. On top of being a bad guy.

I’m lost :)

Putin is operating on behalf of his client state, Syria, and has been furthering the nuclear and territorial ambitions of his secret ally, Iran.

One of the unstated reasons that "our deal" with Iran was so weak is that Putin and the ChiComms had been violating the embargo all along, and were threatening to break the sanctions altogether unless we came to the table. Once there, they undermined us at every turn. We should have simply walked away.

Saudi Arabia has been waging a proxy war against its enemies in Iran throughout the Middle East for some time now, and we are at a loss for what to do; we can't come out in support of the Syrian rebel groups because they're aligned with the Saudis, which means ISIS and al Qaeda, we can't back the Russians because the Syrian regime is equally bad. Our only "good" play is to make sure the war keeps going. A victory for Assad is a victory for Iran and Russia. That is why our efforts have been ineffectual: we simply have no good play. We don't want anyone to win, because a win by either side is a loss for us. The Russians, foolishly, think they can prevail by brute force. They didn't have the muscle for that in the Middle-East the 1980's and they certainly don't now.

Vladimir Putin is a revanchist thug who wants to reestablish a Neo-Soviet Empire. Many of the people posting on FR are his paid stooges. The (wannabe) NeoSoviet Empire® still sees America as "The Main Enemy" and always has. NOTHING about that has changed, nor will change as long as an ex-KGB dictator or one of his puppets is in control of the country.
