INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – The southbound lanes of Interstate 465 near Fall Creek Road are back open after a semi-trailer carrying 29,000 pounds of cookie dough caught on fire Tuesday morning.

The southbound lanes reopened around 2 p.m. They had been closed since 3:30 a.m.

Indiana State Police said the truck driver is fine. They said the driver unhooked the trailer and got the truck away just in time.

INDOT said the bridge inspection passed at southbound Shadeland and I-465. There is no structural damage to the bridge.

Slick residue from the cookie dough was left behind after the crash. Causing the lanes to remain closed for several hours.

The traffic jam was caused by the 200 State Trooper cars that showed up.

One of my friends gave me a really funny wall plaque for Christmas: “Inside me lives a skinny woman trying to get out, but I shut her up with oatmeal cookies”.

After reading this post, my grandson said, “Well, too bad you weren’t following that truck grans because by now your freezer would be full of cookie dough”.

Nothing accidental about it.
